Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Wednesday, January 19, tease that Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) will take over impersonating Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) while Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) faces a shocking fate. Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) will also trick Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans), so here’s what Days fans can look forward to.
For starters, Gwen was stunned to see “Sarah” at her door, but she’ll soon realize it’s actually Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) in a Sarah mask.
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) mentioned a package arriving for Ava, so it’s easy to guess what was inside!
Kristen obviously sent Ava a box full of masks as part of her promise to help Ava and Gwen.
We’ll see Ava’s spin on Sarah in Wednesday’s DOOL episode, so that should bring some funny moments as Ava pushes Gwen down a sinister path.
Peacock’s guest credits this week have Linsey Godfrey playing Ava as Sarah AND Gwen as Sarah, which means Gwen will eventually take over this scheme.
Gwen will be willing to put on the Sarah mask, so it sounds like Gwen’s about to make a lot more trouble for herself.
Speaking of trouble, Kayla just landed in plenty of that at the convent.
Mother Superior (Ellen Crawford) caught Kayla rummaging around looking for Kristen evidence, so Kayla will have to cover her mistake and pretend she’s a devout nun.
Days spoilers say Kayla will endure a tough grilling session, but she’ll eventually pass Mother Superior’s test.
In the meantime, Steve will face extreme danger now that Kristen is holding him at gunpoint. By the end of this confrontation, Steve will wind up unconscious on the floor following Kristen’s attack.
Kristen will then text Kayla from Steve’s phone and pretend he’s fine. Since Kristen would rather not kill if she doesn’t have to, could Steve join Sarah on the remote island?
We know Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) is going to land on that island in the not-too-distant future, so it’s an option for Steve, too.
Regardless, Abigail and Xander Cook Kiriakis (Paul Telfer) will continue quizzing Ned Grainger (Chris Kalhoon) about Sarah and whether she was on that flight last spring.
The clues will keep piling up for Abigail, who’ll make a stunning discovery once the week winds down.
Until then, Xander will reel when he finds “Sarah” at the Kiriakis mansion – either on Thursday or as part of Wednesday’s exciting cliffhanger.
