Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers update for Wednesday, May 25, teases that Eric Brady’s (Greg Vaughan) mistake will haunt while Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash) dreams of Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) while in bed with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun). Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) will also be in denial, so let’s talk about what’s coming up on DOOL.
At the pub, Eric will receive a life-changing phone call and spread some bad news. A mistake will come back to haunt Eric since he didn’t get approval beforehand for the two exorcisms he performed.
Of course, Eric could never regret doing everything in his power to free possessed Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall) and Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold). If this is a situation where the exorcisms wouldn’t have been approved no matter what, Eric may not consider it a real mistake at all.
Regardless, Eric will be kicked out of the priesthood and have to consider what’s next. Once Roman Brady (Josh Taylor) and Kate Roberts (Lauren Koslow) are brought in the loop, they’ll do their best to life Eric’s spirits.
Kate will think this means Eric and Nicole can get back together, but Eric will point out that his ex is already on a new path with Rafe. Although Kate may have her doubts about Nicole and Rafe making a lasting connection, Eric will be adamant about backing off and letting Nicole enjoy new happiness.
Even so, part of Eric will struggle over what might’ve been. That’ll bring more mistakes to haunt Eric since he neglected his marriage and was perhaps too judgmental of Nicole at times.
At Nicole’s apartment, she won’t know what to say now that she’s found Rafe’s engagement ring in Duke the bear’s pocket. Rafe will think he should do all the talking as he gets down on one knee for a proper proposal.
Unfortunately, it’ll soon become clear to Rafe that Nicole’s uncertain about marrying him. Rafe will worry that Nicole’s hung up on her history with Eric and letting that lingering love get in the way of the future.
Nicole, on the other hand, will think Rafe’s popping the question awfully fast – and it’s happening right after Eric showed back up in Salem. It’ll seem like Rafe’s reacting to Nicole and Eric’s connection, which has been on full display lately.
Nevertheless, Rafe will argue that he bought the ring before Eric resurfaced. Now that Ava is leaving them alone, Rafe will be prepared to head toward the altar with Nicole and chase after happily ever after.
Since Rafe will feel like Nicole isn’t on the same page, he’ll consider rescinding his marriage proposal. Nicole will blurt out a “yes” in the nick of time, so that’ll lead to a steamy celebration despite the obvious problems here.
Rafe is in denial since he’s clearly more worried about Nicole and Eric’s bond than he’s letting on. Likewise, Nicole knows it’s a mistake to rush into an engagement like this, but she’ll be wary of letting Rafe down.
Other Days spoilers say Gabi Hernandez DiMera (Camila Banus) will sizzle with Li Shin (Remington Hoffman) in his hotel room. That’ll distract Gabi from how much she misses Jake, but not for long since he’ll invade her dreams!
At Jake’s place, he’ll strip down for some steaminess with Ava, but he’ll also dream of Gabi once the hot fun winds down. Jake will try to fill the void with an Ava hookup, but there’s just no substitute for Gabi in his heart or in his bed.
