Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Wednesday, October 19 Recap – Disguised Ava Seeks Gwen’s Help – EJ Derails Johnny’s Search

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, October 19, reveals that disguised Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) sought Gwen Rizczech’s (Emily O’Brien) help while EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) derailed Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) password search.

In Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) hotel suite, Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) arrived looking for her brother and found Gabi Hernandez-DiMera (Camila Banus) instead.

Gabi admitted she was ousted as CEO, but she mentioned that Li had been kept on as EJ’s second in command.

At DiMera Enterprises, EJ called Gabi trash and hurled other insults during a meeting with Li and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash).

Stefan eventually blurted out that was enough and covered by acting like it was wrong to speak ill of Li’s fiancée right in front of him.

Once Stefan left, EJ admitted he was testing Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s (Richard Wharton) conditioning – and he wasn’t so sure it was working considering Stefan’s reaction.

EJ suggested Stefan might need a tune-up, but Li doubted that Dr. Rolf would provide one.

Li eventually called EJ out for being disrespectful and badmouthing Gabi, but EJ wondered what exactly he was going to do about it.

At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s DOOL episode, Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) showed up and learned Ava left town because EJ forced her to.

Johnny also admitted he’d gotten close to Ava, so Tripp wondered just how close.

After Johnny insisted they just leaned on each other, he mentioned there was that time they saw each other naked.

Johnny also said EJ caught him in bed with Ava, so Tripp punched him before he could explain.

As Johnny got some ice for his jaw, he assured Tripp that nothing happened.

Tripp was sorry for losing his cool, but Johnny felt he probably would’ve done the same thing in Tripp’s position.

Johnny also wished Tripp luck when it came to tracking Ava down.

Later, Johnny compared notes with Wendy, so they wondered if either EJ or Li had put Dr. Rolf up to brainwashing Stefan.

Wendy still couldn’t crack Li’s password, but Johnny said EJ wrote his own passwords down since he was paranoid about memory loss following his injury. That led to Johnny deciding he’d snoop around EJ’s office.

Once Tripp found EJ at DiMera Enterprises, he confronted EJ about his harsh treatment of Ava.

EJ felt that Ava got what she deserved and goaded Tripp, who ultimately punched him in the nose.

Although EJ threatened to have Tripp arrested and ruin his medical career, Li went to bat for him since Tripp helped save Wendy’s life in Hong Kong.

Plus, Li didn’t think EJ wanted to make this a big story since he’d just taken over.

After EJ got Tripp to leave, he found out Li blocked Wendy’s promotion.

EJ acknowledged that Li was a coder and learned she was the best, so he urged Li to give her the promotion after all.

Later, EJ went to get some ice to prevent swelling following the punch.

When EJ returned, he found Johnny rummaging through the files on his desk and asked what his son was doing there.

Back at the Salem Inn, Gabi answered the door to Stefan and assumed he was there to gloat.

Stefan revealed that he’d brought the divorce papers instead, but Gabi noticed that he hadn’t signed them yet.

Once Gabi pushed Stefan to sign first, he struggled to put his pen down and actually do it.

Gabi suggested if there was some flicker that still loved her, then Stefan should listen to it and not sign the papers.

When Li walked in on Wednesday’s Days episode, he was curious about the intense moment Stefan and Gabi were having.

As for Wendy, she was surprised to run into Tripp at Julie’s Place. Wendy hugged Tripp since they knew each other from their earlier time in Hong Kong.

After Tripp admitted he came back to Salem because of Kayla Johnson’s (Mary Beth Evans) health scare, he revealed that Ava had disappeared.

At the Kiriakis mansion, Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) said he just swallowed his pride and asked Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston) about moving back in.

Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) was surprised and quizzed Xander as well as Sarah Cook (Linsey Godfrey), who was still on probation and only had half her salary since she wasn’t full-time yet.

Xander had also racked up a lot of debt at the Salem Inn, but he noted that he was hoping for an official job offer from Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford).

In Gwen’s hospital room on Wednesday’s Days episode, she dreamed Xander was at her bedside with flowers and a love confession.

Xander decided Gwen was the woman he wanted in this dream, so Gwen kissed him passionately.

When Jack arrived with flowers of his own, he found Gwen kissing her pillow in her sleep.

Gwen woke up and learned she was being discharged before explaining her dream to Jack.

Although Gwen was struggling to give up on Xander, Jack gave her a pep talk.

Since Gwen had no job and nowhere to go home to, Jack invited her to come back to the Horton house.

While Gwen was looking down at her flowers, she heard the door and told her dad that they smelled lovely.

However, it wound up being Ava, who entered wearing a disguise. Ava said it wasn’t Dad, but she did need Gwen’s help.

Back with Xander, he approached Jack and once again asked about a job at The Spectator, which put Jack on the spot.

Days of Our Lives spoilers say Xander will keep hoping for a steady paycheck, so stay tuned to DOOL.
