General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Dex Heller’s (Evan Hofer) mercenary past will come back to haunt him as Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) replacement lands on the hot seat with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Brick (Stephen A. Smith) has always had concerns about Dex, who still seems suspicious in his eyes.
However, Sonny sees real potential in Dex and appreciates the times he’s proven his loyalty.
Of course, Dex hit a bit of a snag with the botched Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) mission and how he handled things in the aftermath.
Even so, Sonny realizes there’s a learning curve and has been willing to cut Dex some slack along the way.
However, it’s only a matter of time until Sonny realizes Dex’s real boss is Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).
Michael planted Dex in Sonny’s organization so he could plot his father’s downfall through an inside job, but the plan may be on the verge of falling apart.
Dex has made progress since Sonny has given him more responsibilities and is setting him up to slide in Jason’s old position.
Unfortunately, Brick may uncover a red flag that’ll be tough for Dex to talk his way out of.
Sonny got in touch with Brick after Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) visited with that rather intimidating Pikeman Security Group offer.
Brick will find out all the information he can on Pikeman – and it seems likely that’ll lead back to Dex.
Although Brick previously looked into Dex’s past for Sonny, a new link may come to light.
Since we know Pikeman Security Group involves mercenary work and we know Dex was a mercenary, it’s easy to connect some dots here.
Dex probably used to work for Pikeman, so he could land on the hot seat with Sonny once that connection is exposed.
The week of December 5-9 will indeed result in Dex getting grilled and facing serious pressure.
Dex will get threatened and will have to deal with some stern warnings, so Sonny might think he knows more than he’s letting on.
Whatever the case, Michael may be working with Valentin and Pikeman Security Group as part of his takedown scheme, but Dex’s history could lead to trouble.
