General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Evan Hofer has joined the GH cast as Dex, so his debut will bring a job request for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) to mull over. Dex will show up during the week of May 2-6 and hope Sonny can help him out with a new position.
It sounds like Dex might want to learn the mob ropes, so he might pitch himself as a new enforcer candidate.
However, Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) seems poised to take on that role eventually.
The more Brando insists he’s not going to be involved in mob mayhem, the less we believe him!
That whole thwarted robbery situation seemed like a way to set Brando up as the new Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Even so, Dex will be desperate for work and will push Sonny to come through for him.
Sonny might indeed find some position for Dex, especially since his organization is vulnerable right now.
It’s clear that Sonny could use all the help he can get, so there may be a place for Dex to prove his worth.
Based on Evan Hofer’s age, he’ll most likely mix it up with the younger set.
Could Dex become a new love interest for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) since trouble’s on the horizon between Joss and Cameron Webber (William Lipton)?
Maybe Dex could even catch Esme Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) eye since she doesn’t really love Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez), who’s secretly playing her anyway.
Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) already has a love triangle that’s starting up with Spencer and Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse), so she seems to have it covered in the romance department.
Nevertheless, Dex is indeed set to hit Port Charles and will need someone to fall for sooner or later.
It’ll be fun to have a new player around, especially if Sonny decides to take Dex under his wing.
As for Evan Hofer, he’s had roles on Kickin’ It, Modern Family, The Thundermans, Dwight in Shining Armor and more.
Hofer is certainly a handsome and talented addition to the show, so GH fans will want to give him a warm welcome!
