General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) seem poised for a sizzling reunion. An Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) partnership will bring these exes together, so that could lead to them reuniting romantically as well.
GH fans know Nikolas considers Elizabeth a trusted friend and certainly still cares about her a great deal. There was a time when it seemed like the writers might be toying with Liz and Nikolas’ reunion, but they ultimately stuck with Nik and Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West).
Of course, Liz wound up in a pairing with Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton), but there’s not much chemistry happening between them. Finn and Liz seem doomed as a couple now that she remembers causing the fall that led to Reiko Finn’s (Mele Ihara) death.
Although Elizabeth obviously didn’t mean to kill Reiko, she still blames herself since that tumble resulted in a blood transfusion – which led to Reiko contracting Blackwood’s syndrome.
How can Liz be with Finn when just looking at him reminds her of something so painful? The same goes for Finn despite this not truly being Liz’s fault.
Finn and Liz are just tainted beyond repair as a pairing now, so that could be why GH writers will move Liz back in Nik’s direction. Esme will have a medical scare during the week of November 14-18, so that’ll lead to Nikolas reaching out to Liz for discreet help.
Despite more escape drama, Nikolas will do whatever it takes to regain control of the situation. No matter how things play out beforehand, it looks like Liz will come to Esme’s rescue and make sure the baby is OK.
Although Elizabeth may be conflicted about staying quiet, it seems she’ll indeed keep Nik’s Esme secret for a while. Liz and Nikolas are going to be spending a ton of time together while hiding something huge, so there’s the potential for them to feel the heat!
Nikolas and Liz’s reunion could be just the love story they both need right now. It’d be nice to see Elizabeth in a hotter pairing than the one she’s in now.
Nikolas’ pairing with Ava has also grown stale, so this is the perfect opportunity to shake things up – especially since Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) is so insistent about a “Nava” divorce.
Esme’s baby could be a dealbreaker for Ava anyway, so it’s smart to put Nikolas back together with Liz and tell another romantic story entirely. Are you rooting for Nikolas and Liz to find happiness with a steamy reunion?
