General Hospital (GH) spoilers update for Thursday, August 18, teases that Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will get pushy while Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) makes a confession. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) will also risk losing Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst), so there’ll be some tricky situations playing out all over town.
At GH, Liz will express how fed up she is with everyone’s meddling. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) may urge Liz to accept some help, but she won’t want any – especially from Finn.
Liz finally drew a line in the sand and made it clear that her relationship with Finn was over if he couldn’t respect boundaries.
Since Finn suspects Liz has some childhood trauma related to her parents, he’ll find it difficult to stop fixating on this angle.
Finn will talk to Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) about Liz’s issues with her mom and dad.
The problem is Finn can’t bring those up to Liz anymore – not without risking his future with her.
Gregory may suggest Finn has to honor Liz’s wishes, but Finn won’t think the solution is to just let her suffer.
Liz is crumbling before Finn’s very eyes, so he’ll feel the need to help her work through this trauma – even if it means putting their romance at stake.
With that in mind, Finn will get in touch with someone from Liz’s history before the week’s over.
There’s a good chance that someone will be Liz’s dad, Jeff Webber (last played by Richard Dean Anderson).
In the meantime, Liz’s new memory flash will rock her to the core. There’ll be another piece of the puzzle when it comes to the burden Liz is carrying.
At the Quartermaine mansion, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) will have some stunning updates on Harrison Chase’s (Josh Swickard) singing career.
Perhaps Brook Lynn will score a performance spot at a popular venue – leaving Chase surprised over how much faith she has in him.
Over with Maxie, she’ll continue to play matchmaker for Cody and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Britt may complain about Cody punching her mother’s boyfriend, but Maxie won’t think decking Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) is enough to pump the brakes on this romance.
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) certainly wasn’t happy about Cody giving Scott a shiner, but Maxie will see the potential for true love.
Maxie should defend Cody after she hears the details of his past and will push Britt to just give him one more chance.
However, Scott won’t think it’s wise for Britt to open her heart to someone this shady.
Although Scott dropped the charges, that doesn’t mean he trusts Cody or expects him to amount to much.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) may also get the feeling that Cody is still keeping secrets.
GH fans know that’s true since Cody is using the truth about Society Setups as leverage to control Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
At some point, Cody will confess something to Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero).
That could mean bringing Olivia up to speed on Dominique Stanton (Shell Danielson) being his birth mom, but Cody will definitely have something to tell “Mama Q.”
Scott will want to spill Cody and Dominique’s connection to Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), but she’ll deal with some Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) trouble first.
Anna will deliver a veiled threat, but she’ll also offer an easy path to getting her off Martin Grey’s (Michael E. Knight) back.
Lucy would do just about anything for Martin, so she should agree to help Anna figure out what Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is hiding and how Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) fits in.
Valentin already tried to convince Victor that their Anna problems were a thing of the past.
Victor will remain skeptical on Thursday’s episode, so Valentin will fret over what he might do next.
Valentin will work to make Victor back off, but that’ll be tough when Anna’s fighting so hard for the truth and setting the stage for more mayhem.
