The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will kiss Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), so she’ll make a bold move on Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) boyfriend. During the week of August 22-26, Chelsea will take her reconnection with Billy way too far.
There’s definitely been a vibe between Billy and Chelsea lately, but Billy assumes it’s a friendly one.
Billy certainly won’t expect Chelsea to plant a kiss in the podcast studio, but that’s indeed where she’ll lean in and steal a lip lock.
Of course, the aftermath of this smooch will no doubt be uncomfortable. Billy may feel the need to set firmer boundaries immediately and panic over Lily’s potential reaction.
It’ll be interesting to see if Billy comes clean right away or delays his confession. There’s even a chance Billy will sweep this kiss under the rug for a while.
After all, Lily might try to shut down the podcast over something like this – and it’d indeed be her call to make.
Lily is both Billy’s girlfriend and his boss, so she’d be doubly concerned about Chelsea throwing herself at Billy.
One way or another, Lily will find out about this kiss shocker eventually.
When that happens, it’s only going to add to the emotional distance and conflict in Billy’s relationship with Lily.
The show has already been setting up major issues, so it’s easy to see how more problems could arise due to Chelsea.
There was a time when Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) seemed like the only romantic threat Lily had to worry about.
Now that Chelsea is spending time with Billy and growing quite attached to him, Lily will have another romantic rival to fret over.
Is this the beginning of the end for Lily and Billy’s relationship?
Things seem to be headed downhill fast, so we have to wonder how long Billy and Lily can really last.
Y&R could be inching these two toward a breakup, so fans will be eager to see what’s in store for Lily and Billy in the coming weeks.
