The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers recap for Friday, September 23, reveals that Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) made a bad father confession while Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) blamed gold digger Brooke Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) for his past issues. Here’s how all the B&B drama went down.
At the cliff house, Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) interrupted Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) kissing again.
After Steffy launched another attempt to push Taylor toward Ridge, Taylor brought up Brooke’s visit and the intercepted call.
Although Taylor knew Steffy had good intentions, she asked her to please never do anything shady like that ever again.
Once Ridge showed up with stuffed bears for the grandkids, Steffy started angling for another family night.
Ridge said he’d have to check with Brooke and pointed out his phone didn’t seem to work there.
Steffy realized Brooke had told Ridge about the phone situation, so she apologized and promised she’d let him answer from now on.
However, Steffy could see the way Ridge looked at Taylor and felt the need to repeat that they belonged together. All Ridge had to do was come home and go back to Taylor.
Ridge wound up getting serious and praising Finn for being such an amazing husband and father.
As Ridge became emotional, he reflected on making bad choices and how they affected his kids, especially when they were younger.
Ridge didn’t think he was the husband and father that his kids deserved, so he gave Steffy a hug and told her that he was sorry.
After Steffy and Finn went to work, Ridge continued reflecting on past regrets with Taylor.
Once Ridge talked about turning his back on his family, Taylor said it was all being healed now.
After Taylor acknowledged the toll everything took on their children – especially sensitive Thomas – she suggested it was time to move beyond the past.
At the Forrester mansion, Brooke arrived as Thomas stuck a big knife in an apple and used it to cut a piece for Douglas Forrester (Django Ferri).
It alarmed Brooke before Douglas ran into Grandma’s arms and invited her to come bowling this weekend.
Thomas said Brooke always had a jam-packed schedule and sent Douglas off to find Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis).
Brooke kept focusing on that knife and acted like Thomas should use something safer, but he said he’d been peeling apples that way his whole life.
After Brooke said it was time for Douglas to come home, Thomas replied that he was already home.
Brooke meant Douglas’ other home – the one where they certainly didn’t play with knives.
An annoyed Thomas said he’d use a peeler next time and objected to Brooke saying she’d always protect Douglas.
Thomas insisted that wasn’t Brooke’s job and added that he’d always protect his son.
Brooke brought up Thomas’ knowledge of the intercepted call at Steffy’s place and said the attacks had to stop.
Thomas didn’t see any big emergency and felt that Ridge would’ve been bored with the same old night of a red teddy and giggling.
Once Brooke brought up Thomas’ past issues, he suggested she might want to look in the mirror and see where they came from.
Thomas ranted about Brooke always lurking around and being the “oversexed gold digger” who bulldozed her way through his entire family.
Brooke was offended over Thomas acting like her role as a stepmother somehow excused his mistakes and bad decisions.
Thomas kept at it and felt that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) turned out so well because of dumb luck or a recessive gene.
Thomas also warned that Ridge and Taylor’s time together had finally come.
After Thomas picked up the knife, he wondered what it would’ve been like to grow up without Brooke for a fill-in mother.
Brooke ran down the list of Thomas’ transgressions and defended her concerns about Douglas being alone with him.
Thomas didn’t care and argued that Taylor was a thousand times the woman Brooke was. As Thomas lashed out, he kept gesturing with the knife.
After Thomas said that kiss in Monaco was meant to happen, he warned that the day was coming when Brooke’s reign and her grip on his father and their family would end.
“Mark my words, Brooke. They will end!” Thomas declared as he pointed the knife at her.
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say Thomas’ weapon will lead to more alarm from Brooke, so stick with the CBS soap.
