The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, October 17, teases that Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) sinister side will come out as he controls Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), who’ll also lie to Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) face.
At Society, Jack will ask Tucker whether there’s any truth to the idea that he was in contact with Diane in LA.
Tucker will act like all this speculation is beneath Jack and will point out that he’s going to believe whatever he wants anyway.
When Diane walks in, Jack will explain the question he’s posed to Tucker and will wonder what Diane has to say about it.
Diane will lie to Jack’s face by insisting that until the helicopter dropped down, she hadn’t seen Tucker since she night she faked her death.
Jack will clearly still have some doubts when he returns home and finds Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).
Traci will seem skeptical about Diane’s story as well, but she’ll admit there’s no proof and will hope that maybe things won’t have to change for Diane, Jack and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Back with Diane, she’ll assume her arrangement with Tucker is over since Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) returned to town.
However, Tucker will argue that Diane didn’t help him like she said she would.
Diane was supposed to tip Tucker off to Ashley’s homecoming, but Tucker heard the news from Ashley herself.
When Diane tries to argue, Tucker’s sinister side will come out as he warns she’s not off the hook until he says so.
Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will summon Tucker to his hotel suite over a business emergency, so they’ll discuss Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) leak and how that affects Tucker’s plan.
With the IPO postponed, Tucker will accept that they’ll just have to be patient.
Tucker will also admit that he briefly thought Audra might’ve spilled the beans about his plan.
Of course, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was talking about a different CEO with the same takeover goal – and Tucker will assume that CEO is probably Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).
At the coffeehouse, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will come clean to Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) about seeing Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope), so she’ll question if this is about Sally or Nick’s rivalry with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
Sharon will point out that Nick has a habit of falling for the same love interests as Adam, so he’ll joke about them both having good taste.
That said, Nick will make it clear that he truly likes Sally, so this isn’t about a competition with Adam.
Unfortunately, Sally will believe it’s about the competition on Adam’s end.
Once Sally warns Adam to stay away from now on, she’ll think it’s the best thing for both of them.
Adam will unlock the door and let Sally go, but he’ll be distraught as he drinks alone afterward.
After Adam drifts off to sleep, he’ll dream about Sally coming back to let him explain his feelings.
Suddenly, Nick will appear and grab Sally’s hand in the nightmare.
Adam will be taken aback as Nick calls Adam dangerous and refuses to let him destroy Sally.
While Adam wakes up startled, Sally will fill Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) in on her complicated date night.
Once Sally texts Nick to find out where he is, she’ll head over to Crimson Lights.
On the patio in Monday’s Y&R episode, Sally will grumble about Adam using his usual tricks to get her up on the roof.
With Adam, there’s always deception involved.
Sally will be confused over her feelings for Adam, but she’ll admit she can’t get Nick out of her head.
Nick will fear that maybe they should end this now since things are getting messy, so Sally will consider the possibility that he’s right.
Once Nick and Sally are holding each other close, Summer will walk in the patio door and look shocked over the intimate moment.
