General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, September 29, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) worried about some serious legal consequences.
Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) also made a major vow about her romantic future following her split from Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Outside the Quartermaine boathouse, Jason spoke to a mopey Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and suggested time apart from Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) was for the best.
If Charlotte contacted Danny about helping her escape from boarding school, Jason said the best thing Danny could do for her was say no.
Since Danny blamed Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) for ratting Charlotte out and getting her sent away, he called Rocco over for a private confrontation.
Danny pushed Rocco to convince Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) to bring Charlotte home.
That led to Rocco blaming Danny for Charlotte’s situation instead, so the pair had a fierce faceoff.
At Lucas Jones’ (Van Hansis) apartment, Britt interrupted his attempt to question Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) about her love for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart).
Carly took off and headed home, where Jason joined her for a discussion about Danny and Charlotte.
As for Britt, she had a wine night with Lucas and ranted about being better off without Jason.
Although Britt was open to having flings, she declared that she was done with relationships and romance.
“My heart is closed for business! I’m not falling for that trap again,” Britt said before Lucas wished her good luck with that.
At Aurora, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) confided in Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) about her insecurities in dealing with face-to-face meetings because of her scars.
Monet Mitchell’s (Blythe Howard) harsh words about Jordan’s appearance only fed those insecurities.
There was also some talk about Michael’s time at the clinic in Germany.
Once Michael was alone, he tried to get in touch with a specific doctor over the phone and seemed like he was trying to pull strings for Jordan.
As for ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor), she hoped that maybe Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) misunderstood what he heard after the beatings.
Curtis was adamant that the ringleader had pointed to Sonny as the person behind the orders.
Justine sent Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) to find hard evidence since she wasn’t going to prosecute without it.
Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) also spoke to Justine about the possibility of the charges getting upped to murder if Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) didn’t make it through surgery.
Although Curtis had blamed Sonny, Justine suggested another one of Sidwell’s enemies could’ve gone after him.
Dante thought it seemed like Justine wanted Sonny to be innocent, but she downplayed it as wanting all available info.
After Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) stopped by GH and heard about the attacks at Pentonville, he immediately headed over to Sonny’s place.
Ric wanted to know what Sonny sent Vito (Sam Duffy) to do now that Sidwell had been attacked along with Curtis, but Sonny made it clear he wasn’t guilty.
Joe eventually showed up with questions and admitted that Curtis claimed Sonny was the one behind the three inmates’ joint attack.
Once Sonny was alone with Ric again, he denied ordering harm and argued that he’d actually been helpful to Sidwell instead.
Sonny had instructed Vito to get Sully to intervene if Sidwell was in trouble.
Sonny knew he’d look guilty if Sidwell got hurt, so he was trying to prevent that.
Sully did the opposite of what Sonny wanted, so Ric mulled over the puzzling situation with him.
Now Sonny worried since murder charges could be involved if Sidwell didn’t survive.
Sonny also had concerns about his loved ones thinking he wasn’t honest about his mob departure.
Joe rejoined Dante and Justine at GH, where he brought some security footage from the Pentonville visiting area.
Dante recognized Vito and Sully as two men who worked for Sonny, so Justine looked unnerved.
Back in Curtis’ room, he got a visit from Monet, who revealed she’d been reviewing cases in town now that she was working at Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis Davis’ (Nancy Lee Grahn) law office.
Monet wanted to be Curtis’ new attorney and thought she could tackle his appeal, but he wondered why she was so interested in helping him.
Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) kicked Monet out before she could answer since Curtis needed his rest.
Monet handed her business card to Liz in hopes that she’d pass it along to Curtis.
Elizabeth also called Jordan about Curtis’ attack, so she came running to his room at the hospital.
Curtis gave Jordan the news that Sonny was responsible for what went down at the prison.
General Hospital spoilers say Sonny will work hard to prove his innocence, but that’ll come with some challenges!
