The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Monday, September 12 Update – Sally Needs Adam Out of System – Imani Pushes Ruthless Nate

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for Monday, September 12, teases that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will need Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) out of her system according to Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Imani Benedict (temporarily played by Denise Boutte) will also push for ruthless Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic), so let’s talk about what’s in store.

Although Nick will express some fears about Sally not trusting her instincts, he’ll assure Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that Sally deserves to remain in the Newman Media CEO spot.

However, Sally will end up making a massive mistake when she misses the marketing summit meeting.

Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will alert Sally to the blunder and gripe since she had to handle the presentation on her own – leaving everyone annoyed since the CEO was a no-show.

Sally will confess she thought it was happening later, but her calendar app will let her know Chloe is correct.

When Chloe learns Sally got distracted by Adam, she’ll fume and worry about him messing with Sally’s head.

Soon after, Nick will privately grill Sally about why she missed this meeting, which was a huge deal.

Sally will acknowledge the timing blunder, but she’ll also talk about running into Adam.

Although Nick will be sympathetic to what Sally’s been through, he’ll need to know she can handle her job.

Sally will offer reassurance, so Nick will admit he’s confident she can succeed if she gets Adam out of her system.

Once Nick leaves, Chloe will back up the idea that Sally needs to stay away from Adam.

Sally will get fed up with all the Adam bashing since she can’t cut him out of her heart so easily.

On the coffeehouse patio, Nate will get agitated when Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) seems to be on Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) side.

Elena will act like she’s just trying to see all angles and will hope Nate might come back to work at the hospital, but he’ll shut down that idea.

After Nate sees Victoria in the main dining area, he’ll walk over and mention his previous Newman Enterprises job offer.

Nate will be looking at other employment options, so Victoria will express surprise and question why.

Victoria will learn Nate’s been facing some family drama at Chancellor-Winters, so she’ll hope they can work through it.

As for a job at Newman Enterprises, Victoria won’t have the right fit for Nate just yet, but she’ll hint that she might once all her acquisitions are finalized.

Once Nate’s back on the patio, he’ll be deep in thought when Imani enters.

Imani will get the news about everything falling apart, but she’ll advise against quitting and proving Devon right.

Nate tried obeying the rules and going against them, but he wasn’t successful with either strategy.

That’s why Imani will mischievously encourage Nate to try something more ruthless.

At Chancellor-Winters, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will do some mild bickering over the conflict between Nate and Devon.

Lily will be stressed out and desperate for a solution, but Billy will relieve some of her tension with an embrace, massage and pep talk.

Other Y&R spoilers say Nick will defend Sally and her extenuating circumstances.

Although Nick will point out that Sally owned up to her mistake, Victoria will seriously consider replacing her.

At the very least, Victoria will want to put Sally on notice and make her understand there’ll be no second chances.

Nick will act like Victoria’s going overboard and will think Sally is up to this challenge.

Victoria will also mention Nate’s desire for a job and seem impressed over how ambitious he is.

It sounds like Nate could still end up working at Newman down the road, but we’ll see how it goes!

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nate and Devon’s tension is about to soar to new heights, so stay tuned.
