The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, June 22, teases that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will have new Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) orders for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) – and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will call out his dad’s agenda.
As Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) enters her new office, she’ll be buzzing on business calls.
Sally will pick up the desk plate featuring her name and seem excited about her new role as CEO.
Meanwhile, Victor will find that Adam is making himself right at home in Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) old office.
Adam won’t see why he should waste time, especially if his days might be numbered.
After Adam calls Victor out on using him to send a message to Victoria, he’ll admit it’s a smart move to bait her like this.
That said, Adam won’t be insulted and will intend to dazzle Victor right out of the gate.
Victor will remind Adam that he once sat in that chair and didn’t do a good job, so Adam will acknowledge that he was arrogant and had a lot to learn.
Nevertheless, Adam will make a pitch about his abilities now and insist he’s the right person to run Newman Enterprises.
After Michael arrives, Victor will head to Society with him for a meeting and warn Adam not to screw up.
Later, Adam will stop by Newman Media and help Sally celebrate her new CEO status.
Sally will mention needing to find a COO before talk turns to Adam calling Victor out on his agenda.
However, Adam will have big plans to make himself indispensable and stay in power.
After Sally voices her support for Adam, she’ll make it clear that they’re still a team as they strip down for lovemaking.
At Crimson Lights, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will talk to Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) about their mutual concerns regarding Victoria.
Nick will worry that the Adam CEO news could be more than Victoria can handle.
Nikki won’t be as confident as Victor about his plan to bring Victoria home.
Instead, Nikki will fear it could drive Victoria away for good, but she’ll hint about having another avenue to explore.
In the park on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will leave Victoria a voicemail to smooth things over.
After Billy says he won’t fight Victoria on the custody arrangement, he’ll insist he wants her to be happy.
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will overhear and thank Billy for listening to her advice.
After the conversation shifts to Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) concerns about Billy self-sabotaging, he’ll reassure Lily and discuss his new journey.
Billy will be pleased over his podcast’s success, but he’ll also note that it seems fragile – like he needs to protect it.
Lily will worry about Billy pulling away from her and Chancellor-Winters, but he’ll vow that he’s in this for the long haul and will always support her.
After Chelsea comes along, she’ll speak with Billy privately. Chelsea will act like she’s fine, but Billy will sense that she’s troubled and will push her to be honest.
Once Chelsea opens up about Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death and how hard it’s been, she’ll reflect on her complicated partnership with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson).
Chelsea will feel like Chloe has become more of a babysitter than a collaborator these days.
When Chelsea suggests Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) and Johnny Abbott (Holden and Ryan Hare) should hang when Johnny gets back from boarding school, Billy won’t commit – obviously still thinking about the Victoria situation in the back of his mind.
Chelsea will still be rather pensive when Nick appears.
That’ll give Chelsea a chance to ask how Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is holding up before talk turns to Ashland’s cancer scam.
Chelsea will be surprised to learn that Victoria is still with Ashland despite everything that went down.
Nick will admit he thinks about putting Ashland’s head through a wall daily, but he’ll know that won’t bring Victoria back home.
Chelsea will assure Nick that he has every right to want Ashland destroyed.
After being summoned by Nikki, Billy will meet up with her at the coffeehouse.
Nikki will hope for info on where Victoria is now, but Billy won’t have any answers and will insist he’s decided to let Victoria go.
Back with Lily, she’ll be surprised when her assistant mentions requests for interviews and speaking engagements with Billy.
Lily will seem a little unsettled over Billy’s popularity as a podcaster.
At Society, Victor will order Michael to find Ashland and Victoria as well as uncover what they’re up to.
Michael will argue that Victor doesn’t pay him to skulk about in the shadows, but Victor will counter that Michael has a personal stake in this.
Although Michael will think maybe it’s time to let Victoria go, Victor will want to help her before Ashland inflicts more damage.
After Victor once again orders Michael to find out where the couple is and what their plans are, he’ll vow to take care of the rest.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Victor will do whatever it takes to bring Victoria back to Genoa City, but he may pay the price with a war!
