The Young and the Restless Spoilers: Wednesday, September 14 Recap – Adam Crashes Sally & Nick’s Dinner – Billy Sees Sinking Ship

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers recap for Wednesday, September 14, teases that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will crash Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) post-passion dinner while Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) fears a sinking ship.

At Crimson Lights, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will both play hardball on some lucrative phone calls.

After Victoria and Lily congratulate each other on their recent moves as CEOs, they’ll talk about the importance of having solid teams to back them up.

Victoria will act like it can be challenging to work with Billy, but Lily will point out that he stepped away from the podcasts and is back on the COO path full-time – ready to shine.

At Chancellor-Winters, Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will offer Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a chance to get everything off his chest.

Nate will want Devon to admit that he keeps shutting down his ideas and will make accusations about his motives.

However, Devon will act like Nate thinks he knows best – like when he went against what the rest of them decided at the launch party.

After Devon suggests Nate walks around like a surgeon with a God complex, Nate will fume over his surgery career being thrown in his face.

That’ll lead to Nate inviting Devon to punch him again, but Billy will interrupt and try to play referee.

Nate will argue that there’ll be no more fighting since he’s done with Devon and done with this place.

Once Nate announces he quits, Billy will argue there’s no need to be hasty.

Nate will counter that he’s been thinking about this for a while now, but Lily will reject his resignation once she arrives and gets updates.

After Billy leaves to let the family deal with this, Lily will insist she’s willing to stay all night and help work things out.

Unfortunately, Nate will think the situation is untenable – and Devon will agree it’s best if he goes.

Nate will stand by his decision and say goodbye before ending up at Society for a drink.

Once Nate calls Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and gets her voicemail, Imani Benedict (temporarily played by Denise Boutte) will walk in and see that Nate looks furious.

Nate will deliver the news of what just happened and argue that he can’t keep banging his head against the wall with Devon.

When Nate admits he just quit, Imani will seem disappointed.

Back with Lily, she’ll hope that Nate cools off and changes his mind.

As for Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) proposal about taking the company public, Lily will make it her mission to convince Devon it’s the right move.

After Billy runs into Victoria at the coffeehouse, he’ll discuss the internal conflict at Chancellor-Winters and how it’s at an excessive level.

Billy will see the potential for it to sink the ship and won’t know what to do about it.

In Sally’s office, she’ll lean in for a kiss with Nick following their handshake. After pulling back briefly, Sally and Nick will make out like crazy before the clothes come off.

Nick and Sally will start hooking up on the sofa, but Adam will knock on the door and call out to Sally since he saw her car outside.

That’ll lead to Nick and Sally pausing briefly in shock, but they’ll go right back to it after Adam walks away with no answer.

After the deed is done, Nick will admit he’s hungry and get Sally to accept his dinner invitation.

At Society, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will act like the importance of family is something that he can agree on with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

That’s why Jack will struggle with the idea of Victor truly giving up on Adam.

Victor will eventually express his condolences over Keemo Nguyen (Philip Moon) before the conversation shifts to Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang).

Jack and Victor will crack jokes about another messy Abbott-Newman romance since Allie is involved with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson).

When Adam finds Jack and Victor looking chummy, he’ll assume his Jabot job isn’t part of the conversation.

Jack will insist they indeed talked about Adam, but the tension will remain between Victor and his son.

Since Victor won’t believe he can convince Adam that the best place for him is with his family and their company, he’ll urge Adam to just move on.

Jack won’t think there’s any need for ultimatums, but Victor will stand his ground and promise that Adam will regret this.

Next on Wednesday’s Y&R episode, Victor will hit the punching bag savagely at home and try to get some of his frustration out.

Back at Society, Adam will spot Sally and Nick once they enter together.

After Adam mentions that he stopped by Sally’s office earlier, she’ll lie that she was up in Nick’s office at the time.

Nick and Sally will claim this is a work dinner, but Adam will note that he hasn’t eaten yet and will ask if he can join.

That’ll bring an incredibly awkward meal as Sally says she didn’t realize how hungry she was.

Adam will suggest Sally built up quite the appetite and will remember nights when Sally forgot to eat since they were so focused on “work.”

Sally, Nick and Adam will agree to take a break from all the work talk, but Sally will slip up and mention a new platform she wants to pitch to Nick.

Outside Sally’s hotel suite later, Nick will walk her up and admit that was an interesting dinner. Sally will wish Nick goodnight before he saunters off.

Once Sally is inside, Adam will walk over to her door and look down the hall where Nick went.

Adam will seem curious and on edge like he saw Nick walking Sally home for the night.

The Young and the Restless spoilers say Nick and Sally will continue to take risks, so don’t miss what’s ahead on Y&R.
