The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers update for the week of July 18-22 teases that Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will tackle a mystery while Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) mental state brings concerns. Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will also face off, so here’s what Y&R has in store.
For starters, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will proudly hold a press conference as she reclaims the CEO spot.
Victor will introduce Victoria and the rest of the team that’ll lead Newman Enterprises into a new chapter.
Adam will vanish after sending Sally a text about a trip to Chicago.
Sally will be left wondering where Adam is the next day – and she’ll wonder what the future holds for her job after Victoria seems vague about her staff plans.
Once Adam makes it home, Sally will quiz him about where he’s been and why he’s been shutting her out.
Adam will take this opportunity to lash out at Sally and break up with her, but she’ll put it together pretty fast that he’s trying to protect her role at Newman Media.
While Sally urges Adam to confess his true motives, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will successfully help Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) get Ashland arrested.
Since Diane will keep Harrison Abbott (Kellen Enriquez) and do the responsible thing in Kyle’s eyes, she’ll smile as she earns her son’s approval on this.
Diane will pull off a win, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will want to make sure some big losses are headed her way.
The same goes for vengeful Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson).
Ashley will become part of Phyllis and Nikki’s alliance, but there’ll be some infighting since Phyllis and Ashley apparently won’t agree on the details of their plot.
After Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) gets updates on Ashley’s part in this team-up, he may warn his sister not to do anything that would blow up Kyle’s relationship with Diane.
Later, Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) will get some advice from Jack while Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) considers a big expansion.
Whether that expansion involves the hotel Lily mentioned or another project, she’ll no doubt be busy and could perhaps need more help than distracted Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) can offer.
Billy will find a nice groove with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) as his podcast co-host, so look for the two of them to brainstorm other ideas over drinks at Society.
Other Y&R spoilers say Adam will face Victor’s fury.
Victor will rip into Adam for not falling in line like a good little Newman soldier and just won’t understand this disloyalty.
Adam will also face Victor’s questions about his motives, so that could involve Sally and some of the decisions Adam’s been making regarding her.
Back with Jack, he’ll consider what’s next with Phyllis.
Although Phyllis and Jack’s romance is over, they may start trying to heal their friendship if that’s at all possible.
After Ashland faces off with Victor while in his jail cell, things will take a scary turn.
Ashland will get out on bail and exhibit some disturbing behavior, so Nick will worry about the guy’s mental state.
The Young and the Restless spoilers say revenge will become Ashland’s focus, so he’ll make some veiled threats when he spies on Victoria and confronts her at her house.
The good news is Nick will come along to help Victoria.
The bad news is Nick will have no idea what he’s walking into once he enters the backdoor!
