Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Monday, December 18, reveals that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) took responsibility for his jealousy and how the line got blurred between right and wrong. Chad also revealed to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) that he’d hired Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) back at The Spectator.
However, Chad knew that between their trust issues and his lack of commitment, they needed to officially break up. Stephanie agreed with that and assured Chad that she’d still like to spend time with the kids.
Although Stephanie said it wasn’t necessary for Chad to resign at SJPR, he insisted on a clean break to make things easier. Stephanie also let Chad keep the apartment so he wouldn’t have to uproot the children.
As Chad walked away in tears on Monday’s Days episode, Stephanie also cried over the end of the relationship.
At Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) place, Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) showed up after a long shift at work and was surprised to see Paulina had slept until the middle of the afternoon.
Paulina acted like it was nothing a cup of strong coffee wouldn’t fix.
Later, Chad stopped by to see Paulina and offered updates on his split from Stephanie, which was both personal and professional.
During a moment alone on Monday’s DOOL show, Paulina had trouble swallowing and told herself that she was too busy to get sick.
In the town square, Chanel ran into Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), so they talked about his new status as Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) son and her reunion with Johnny DiMera (Billy Flynn).
Chanel and Alex also thought back to the “interesting” time they had with Allie Horton (Lindsay Horton), which obviously alluded to the threesome they all shared.
Once Chanel made it home, she worried about Paulina since her mom was asleep again on the couch.
In the DiMera secret room, Nicole Walker-DiMera (Arianne Zucker) told EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) how Sloan Petersen-Brady (Jessica Serfaty) just left the baby all alone.
Nicole hated to think what could’ve happened if she hadn’t been the one to take Jude Brady.
Although Nicole suggested EJ had plenty of money and could whisk them away somewhere so they could raise Jude together, he ultimately convinced her they had to return the baby.
At the Salem PD on Monday’s Days episode, Sloan’s confession to Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan) was derailed by a tip from an eyewitness.
Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) explained that a woman in a dark hoodie was spotted with Jude, so Eric speculated that the crime could be connected to the same perp who took Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) baby.
EJ eventually led Nicole in the police station with Jude in her arms. After Sloan took Jude, she demanded Nicole’s arrest and wanted her behind bars where she wouldn’t be a threat anymore.
Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering) came close to arresting Nicole, but Eric privately pushed Sloan to have some compassion and be grateful that Jude was safe.
Sloan ultimately told Rafe that she forgot she asked Nicole to babysit, so there was no need to press charges. Rafe was still concerned, but Nicole promised to get the help she needed.
Soon after, Sloan cornered Nicole alone and warned her to stay away from the baby. Nicole was taken aback as Sloan vowed to make Nicole’s life miserable if she didn’t obey orders.
Back with Harris, he met up with Stephanie in the park. Stephanie admitted she didn’t remember much from last night other than the kiss between them.
Harris apologized for letting that happen, but he assured Stephanie that nothing else did.
Stephanie was too drunk to go anywhere else, so Harris took her up to his room and gave her a shirt to wear since she threw up all over her clothes.
Although Stephanie hoped they could keep all this between them, Harris felt like he needed to spill the whole story to Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun).
Back in the town square on Monday’s Days episode, Stephanie ran into Alex before Chad came up behind them and brought an uncomfortable vibe all around.
