General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Monday, March 27, reveals that Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) spoke with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) alone and pointed out that he was more than friends with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) now.
Spencer knew Trina’s loved ones weren’t happy about the way he’d hurt Trina, but Marshall surprised Spencer with some praise since he was stepping up for his little brother.
Marshall also pointed out that if Spencer wanted to become a better man, he had to want that for herself – not just other people.
Afterward, Spencer talked to Trina about wanting her in his life since she made him happy.
Trina assured Spencer that she was sticking around before sharing a kiss with him.
At Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) place, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) asked if Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) was going somewhere as she held Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay) in her arms.
Esme acted like she didn’t have to answer to this unknown person, but then she realized he was Cameron Webber – one of her alleged victims – once he mentioned his grandmother.
Cam assured Esme that she indeed made that video of him with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and spread it around to the whole university.
After Esme let Cameron in, she tried to fib about going for a walk with Ace. Cameron said the old Esme lied better, so she basically admitted that she’d been trying to run off with the baby.
However, Cam pointed out that Esme would be leaving her support system if she did that – and it certainly wouldn’t convince anyone that she’d changed.
Once Cameron talked about how Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) turned his life around, he had to leave for his party at the pub.
Cam sought reassurance that Esme would be all right, but she suggested he shouldn’t pretend he cared.
Outside Kelly’s, Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) tried to get Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to perform at the Nurses Ball before Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) appeared.
Dex was amused to learn Joss could sing and faced Maxie’s pressure to put his own talents to good use on stage.
At Charlie’s Pub, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) was preparing for Cam’s goodbye party when Laura arrived.
That led to Laura assuring Liz that she didn’t blame her for what happened with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) and that she admired her for bravely coming forward.
Josslyn also had a chance to clear the air with Elizabeth once she arrived.
Although Joss was worried about her friendship with Cameron, Liz seemed certain they’d find a way past all the drama.
After Spencer and Trina arrived, Laura admitted to her grandson that she left Esme alone with the baby.
Spencer flipped out over Laura’s news, but then Cameron walked in with Esme and Ace moments later.
Next on Monday’s GH episode, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) gave Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) a pep talk about their plan and turned her attention to what they’d do once they were free.
Anna pointed out they might not be spending as much time together outside of the safe house and acted like Valentin might get bored without an adventure.
Nevertheless, Valentin made it clear that being with Anna was an adventure on its own.
In Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) suite, he offered to let Deputy Mayor Eileen Ashby (Heather Mazur) keep the necklace if she wanted – or she could just return it to the evidence locker if she preferred.
All Victor cared about were the coordinates engraved on the diamonds, which he now had.
Victor told Eileen that this was about saving the world and hinted about a plan he set in motion many years ago with his brothers.
Unfortunately, Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) made it all about money and power before Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) and Laura ultimately got in the way.
Victor offered updates on a contingency plan that involved the codes Mikkos engraved on the diamonds.
When Victor mentioned that he needed to crack that code, Eileen asked how he planned to do that.
Victor revealed that it took him years to track down the decryption key and years more to find all the Ice Princess diamond pieces.
Now Victor was indeed ready to save the world and make sure his family would be protected.
Alas, Victor pointed out that saving the world would come at a cost.
Although Victor could ensure a future for his family, countless souls would have to pay the price – possibly for generations to come.
Once Victor used his laptop to crack the code and get the coordinates, he realized something was wrong and accused Eileen of betraying him.
Victor eventually settled on the idea that Mikkos might’ve wanted to take the secret to the grave, so he threw the flash drive with the encryption key in a fit of rage.
Eileen gazed at the flash drive as she took a call from Anna urging her to get out now.
Since Eileen refused to leave the meeting, Anna worried everything was about to blow up.
