General Hospital Recap: Wednesday, March 1 – Nikolas on Life Support in Mason’s Care – Willow Learns Donor Match Found

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Wednesday, March 1, reveals that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) gave Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) the night off, but Dex admitted he’d been poking around the recipe cards and had tried making chicken piccata.

When Dex asked if Sonny wanted to try some, Sonny decided he would.

After Sonny tasted it, he said it was good – though something was missing. Sonny got some parsley to add to it and said that was more like it!

After Sonny asked Dex to join him, he told stories about his past in Bensonhurst. Dex also talked about learning to cook since army food was so terrible.

Plus, it was a good way to escape the pressures of work, which Sonny understood.

The bonding session was interrupted when one of Sonny’s henchmen appeared, which led to Sonny revealing he had some Pikeman updates.

Sonny told Dex to clean up and go home, so Dex protested since he thought he was part of the Pikeman deal.

“You were,” Sonny said before leaving Dex on the other side of the closed door.

Once Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) were summoned to the Quartermaine gatehouse, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) talked to them about wedding plans.

Although Willow knew what she was facing, she wanted this to be a happy day and not a sad one.

Willow got Josslyn and Carly to promise her that it would be, so they started discussing details for the nuptials.

Willow asked Josslyn to be a bridesmaid before wondering if Carly would be her matron of honor.

Carly was shocked and reminded Willow that she kept secrets from her, but Willow felt that was all behind them now.

Once Josslyn and Carly accepted their wedding roles, Willow wanted to show them some dress options on her tablet. Unfortunately, Willow nearly passed out when she tried to walk across the room.

Michael grabbed Willow to steady her, but Willow insisted she was fine and wanted to keep going.

However, Michael convinced Willow to take a nap and led her upstairs moments later.

Once Willow was asleep, Michael rejoined Carly and Josslyn before a hospice nurse showed up.

Michael couldn’t believe Willow was in hospice and hated that he couldn’t give her more time with her family.

At GH, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) slapped Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) for staying silent after she found out Esme Prince (Avery Pohl) wasn’t “The Hook” and allowing Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) get attacked.

After Liesl’s tirade, Liz assured Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner) that she deserved the anger.

Elizabeth also felt that Scott should go check on Obrecht since she was so upset.

Meanwhile, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) urged Liesl to see that Heather Webber (Alley Mills) was the one to blame for Britt’s death, but Liesl insisted her enabler was still free.

Once Obrecht ranted about certain people choosing to take Liz’s side, she glared at Scott as he approached.

Scott took some heat for helping Liz despite his attempt to smooth things over.

Since Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) was busy with a meeting, TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) was given permission to deliver Liesl’s latest test results.

After TJ revealed that Obrecht was a confirmed bone marrow match for Willow, Nina hugged Liesl and cried over her daughter being able to live.

TJ explained that Obrecht would need to undergo a physical along with plenty of other tests, but he was optimistic about this working for Willow.

Liesl seemed distraught over Britt, but she was also glad to be helping Nina’s daughter.

Scott tried to take Obrecht’s hand, but she yanked it away. Nina was so grateful to Liesl, who made it clear that she’d do anything for her and their family.

After Nina dashed off, Liesl confronted Scott about helping Elizabeth get away with murder. As far as Liesl was concerned, Britt’s blood was on Scott’s hands.

Once Obrecht warned that she didn’t want to hear Scott’s excuses, she yelled for him to leave her alone and sent him away.

Back with Finn, he worried about Liesl being out for revenge, but then he decided Liz could probably use some space.

Elizabeth stopped Finn from leaving and admitted she didn’t need space from him.

Unfortunately, Liz knew there’d be more backlash and felt that Finn would get caught in the crossfire if he stood by her as a friend.

However, Elizabeth stuck by Finn during the whole Peter August (Wes Ramsey) ordeal, so now Finn said it was his turn to stick by Liz.

Although Elizabeth appreciated the support, she knew this was something she had to handle on her own.

Back at the Quartermaine gatehouse, Michael realized there was something else he could do for Willow, but he got a call from Nina before he could reveal what it was.

Although Michael let it go to voicemail, Nina called again.

Michael finally answered and felt they should be left alone, but Nina said not to hang up since Michael would want to hear what she had to say.

Later, Willow came downstairs and learned she had a bone marrow donor match, so she hugged Michael in relief.

In the tack room, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) broke in the padlocked closet and found Nikolas Cassadine’s (Adam Huss) engraved watch, which was broken.

When asked, Ava Jerome (Maura West) said the last time she saw Nikolas was February 13 at about 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. Dante noticed the watch stopped at 8:07 p.m. and speculated with Detective Bennett (Kendrick Cross) about Nikolas needing something before he fled.

Once Dante, Detective Bennett, Ava and Austin returned to the living room, Dante questioned why Nikolas would need something from the tack room since he moved out of Wyndemere.

It was logical to assume that Nikolas would’ve taken everything he needed from the property.

There was also talk about whether Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) might’ve helped Nikolas escape.

Ava insisted Nikolas had resources that she knew nothing about, especially since they’d faced so many problems in their marriage.

Before Dante left, he took Ava aside to acknowledge that she’d been through quite an ordeal with Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom).

Ava came out unscathed physically, but Dante worried about the emotional toll and offered to put her in touch with some professionals.

Although Ava was grateful and said she’d keep that in mind, Dante didn’t expect her to take him up on it.

Even so, Dante said the upside was that Ava didn’t have to look over her shoulder anymore – that the darkness was dead and buried.

Once Ava and Austin were alone, she assured him that Nikolas’ heart wasn’t beating when she moved him.

Austin pointed out that dead bodies don’t just walk off and wondered where Nikolas was then!

Next on Wednesday’s GH episode, a comatose Nikolas could be seen in a hospital room somewhere hooked up to machines.

Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) called someone with the latest news and revealed that Nikolas was stable on life support.

According to Mason, “sleeping beauty” had everything he needed right there.

General Hospital spoilers say Austin and Ava will remain out of the loop for now, but Mason could deliver a shocker down the road.
