General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) broken family will inevitably be fractured even further. GH fans know Sonny has done everything he can to reach out to Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and try to mend fences.
Unfortunately, Michael has fought Sonny every step of the way. Instead of finding common ground or at least attempting to tolerate Sonny, Michael is plotting his father’s downfall.
Once Michael’s plan explodes, it’s going to cause make some serious waves in the Corinthos family.
Michael had hoped to keep Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) out of this, but it’s too late now that she’s romantically involved with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer).
Josslyn may not be a full-blown Corinthos, but she’s certainly part of this family unit as Sonny’s former stepdaughter.
Donna Corinthos (Arya & Ayla Dormiani) and Avery Corinthos (Ava and Grace Scarola) could suffer thanks to Michael and Josslyn’s actions, so Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) certainly won’t be pleased over this secret.
Josslyn is proving just as selfish as Michael since she only cares about keeping Dex in her life and is willing to throw her little sisters’ father in prison.
Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) are also going to be furious once Michael’s scheme is revealed along with Joss’ knowledge of it.
Now that Sonny’s facing a mysterious mob threat, it could be downright dangerous to take him out of the picture.
If Sonny ends up in jail, that could give his enemies a chance to swarm and strike.
Port Charles would honestly be a more dangerous place without Sonny, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Of course, it’s possible Sonny will get injured in a mob attack since Dex is set to make a grisly discovery soon.
Sonny’s near-death experience might prompt Michael’s change of heart, but Michael certainly didn’t act like he cared when he learned about the first ambush.
Regardless, there’s no denying that Michael has committed a terrible betrayal by helping Dex infiltrate Sonny’s organization and coaching him on how to destroy his dad.
What could possibly heal Sonny’s broken family when all this blows up? Is there anything that could bring the Corinthos clan back together – especially Sonny and Michael?
The return of Morgan Corinthos (last played by Bryan Craig) might be the key to undoing the damage down the road.
Sonny recently reflected on losing Morgan to a car bomb, but viewers know how easy it is for the show to reverse deaths and put a character back in the action.
Now that the 60th anniversary of GH has arrived, maybe it’s time for Morgan to make a comeback – even if it’s in recast form.
Maybe the joy of Morgan’s survival would be enough to start fixing what’s broken in the Corinthos fam.
It’d at least be worth a shot since things are sure to get ugly soon!
