General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) clearly has a very powerful enemy – one who was bold enough to plot a warehouse assassination attempt. We’re dealing with someone who isn’t afraid to challenge Sonny, so who’s behind this fierce threat?
It’s possible the show’s using this to introduce a brand-new mob villain.
GH writers have brought on key players like Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) in the past, so maybe this could lead to the reveal of yet another baddie who’s fighting for Sonny’s territory.
An even better strategy would be to let Sonny’s storyline collide with another one in progress.
We’ve heard a lot about Austin Gatlin Holt (Roger Howarth) and Mason Gatlin’s (Nathanyael Grey) female boss, but they haven’t shown her face or revealed her name yet.
Mason and Austin are obviously from a mob family, so maybe this mystery woman is making a powerful move against Sonny.
There’s even a chance that this woman is someone fans have met before, so Sonny might recognize her, too.
Of course, it’s wise to consider all the options – even foes who seem like friends or at least allies. Could someone actually be stabbing Sonny in the back?
We can’t help but notice that Selina Wu (Lydia Look) is starting to get a bit bolder about sneaking around – just like when she lured Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) into her gambling trap and scored Brando Corbin’s (Johnny Wactor) garage.
Selina also mentioned a rerouted shipment recently and asked if Sonny was worried that she’d join the Pikeman deal, so she’s apparently been getting updates on his private business.
We can’t rule out the idea that Selina has been plotting something, though it’d be awfully risky to go against their alliance and betray Sonny in this way.
Regardless, Sonny doesn’t believe Pikeman would put their deal in jeopardy, so the threat must be someone else.
Although Sonny will work to pry some answers out of the wounded sniper, it doesn’t look like he’ll have much luck.
That’d be far too easy, so General Hospital spoilers suggest this mystery will stretch out for a while and lead to some explosive news.
