The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that the news of Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) pregnancy is bound to make some serious waves in Genoa City. Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) has been giving some good advice to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), but she’s respecting his privacy and keeping a tight lid on the baby shocker so far.
Of course, Sally can’t hide what’s going on forever.
Multiple people already know about Sally having a baby with Adam while still dating Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), so it’s only a matter of time until Billy gets updates as well.
How will Bill handle that bombshell, especially if Adam and Sally’s baby turns out to be a girl?
Adam would obviously be pleased with a healthy child no matter what, but he’s subtly been rooting for a daughter.
Y&R fans know Adam already has a son – and he loves Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) with all his heart.
However, Adam would surely enjoy having one of each and could look forward to welcoming a daughter next.
Billy, on the other hand, is bound to react negatively to Sally having Adam’s bun in the oven.
Perhaps Billy will insist he feels sorry for Sally since she’s got a permanent tie to Adam now.
This news may also affect Billy on a more personal level.
It makes sense to give Adam a daughter from a drama standpoint since part of Billy will always blame Adam for the tragic loss of Delia Abbott (Sophie Pollono).
Billy may spin out a bit once he learns Adam is having another child, particularly if that child is revealed to be a daughter.
It could leave Billy feeling like Adam doesn’t deserve this happy addition after what happened to Delia.
If Y&R wanted to do a really soapy twist, they could potentially have Billy be responsible for Sally’s miscarriage.
Just think of the chaos that could result if Billy somehow led to the loss of Adam’s daughter considering their history.
