The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) may fight back against Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) in a surprising way. Y&R fans know Phyllis was ranting about wanting Diane dead not too long ago, but what if Phyllis decides to play dead instead?
Diane once faked her own demise, so Phyllis might decide this is the perfect strategy to turn the tables.
Perhaps Phyllis will pretend to suffer a grim fate and frame Diane for murder!
Based on some behind-the-scenes leaks, it looks like a funeral may soon be underway for Phyllis.
That could mean Phyllis will really go all in and let everyone believe she’s gone forever.
Phyllis feels like she’s lost everything that matters to her at this point, so she’s spinning out.
It was hard enough for Phyllis to lose Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) to Diane and get fired from Marchetti, but now her children are distancing themselves.
Of course, Phyllis really only has herself to blame since she constantly meddles and refuses to listen.
Daniel Romalotti Jr. (Michael Graziadei) and Summer Newman-Abbott (Allison Lanier) have every right to be angry with Phyllis under the circumstances.
Even so, Phyllis may like the idea of making Summer and Daniel sorry for how they’ve treated her. They say you never know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone, so Phyllis may embrace that as her motto here.
Maybe Phyllis will use this deadly news to teach Daniel and Summer a painful lesson.
Since Summer and Daniel are acting like they don’t want their mother in their lives, Phyllis may decide to give them their wish by faking her death and dropping off the map.
Perhaps Phyllis will plan to chill on a tropical island somewhere while Diane goes to prison and her children are left filled with regret.
If Phyllis can get Daniel and Summer to blame Diane for her faux grisly outcome, that’ll be even better.
However, the plan could go wrong if someone like Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) investigates and discovers Phyllis’ setup.
Even Phyllis herself could ultimately realize she can’t walk away from Summer and Daniel like this.
Unfortunately, Phyllis’ actions may end up further alienating her kids.
Daniel and Summer will have a lot to forgive if Phyllis goes to such extremes, but it certainly sounds like a plot Phyllis would try.
