The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will prove she’s a loyal friend, but that’ll mean getting caught up in a new scheme. The week of January 9-13 will bring a trap for Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) – one that Chloe’s responsible for.
Of course, we have to consider why Chloe would be setting a trap and why she would want Nick to fall into it.
Chloe knows Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is pregnant, so it’s reasonable to assume this trap could tie in with the crisis her pal’s facing.
Since we all know it’s coming, Y&R may go ahead and kick off the paternity test portion of this story. Sally might learn it’s safe for a blood test to determine if her baby belongs to Nick or Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).
However, Sally’s going to need a DNA sample if she wants to confirm the real father. Could that be where Chloe’s trap comes in?
Maybe Chloe will end up stealing a drinking glass Nick was using or something along those lines.
Chloe might get sneaky to help Sally score Nick’s DNA sample and find out the truth.
Naturally, Sally doesn’t really need a sample from Adam since she’s only been with two potential father options.
If Nick isn’t a paternity match, then that means Adam is the dad.
Sally will obviously be hoping that Nick is the father, but she may want to confirm the news before she drops the baby bomb on him.
It’d give Sally a chance to know for sure and make things a little less complicated.
Unfortunately, traps don’t always go according to plan on Y&R.
Chloe could get busted or at least raise Nick’s suspicions, so that could lead to Nick figuring out what’s going on.
In other words, Sally may plan to leave Nick and Adam in the dark on a paternity test, but one or both of them could find out anyway!
The Young and the Restless spoilers say Sally’s pregnancy will force her to make some updates to her life and her relationship.
