Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 10, reveals that Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) and Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) were horrified when they showed up at the jail to visit Tate Black (Jamie Martin Mann) and saw that he’d been given a black eye.
Tate explained that some guy stole his sandwich and punched him in the face, so Theresa and Brady feared for his safety.
After Theresa pushed Brady to go talk to Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker), she stayed behind to comfort Tate.
Although Tate was pretending to be brave, he admitted he was scared and didn’t know how much longer he could handle this.
Theresa reflected on her time in captivity with El Fideo (Andoni Gracia) and knew Tate would come out stronger on the other side of this like she did.
At the DiMera mansion on Wednesday’s Days episode, Nicole snapped at EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel) for treating her like she was five, but she ultimately apologized.
EJ knew Nicole was exhausted, but she said it was more than that. Nicole felt like she was being punished since she lost her baby boy and might lose Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) too, but EJ insisted it didn’t work like that.
Since Nicole just wanted to scream, EJ pushed her to do it and finally got her yelling just before Brady showed up.
Nicole pushed EJ to let Brady in so she could speak with him alone, so EJ reluctantly agreed.
That gave Brady a chance to plead his son’s case since Tate said the drugs weren’t his and that he’d never hurt Holly.
Nicole asked if Brady believed Tate, so he admitted he couldn’t be sure and that trying to take the rap for Tate was about his parental instinct.
Regardless, Brady was desperate to get Tate out of jail following an attack, so he hoped Nicole could get through to EJ.
It seemed like Brady’s plea was working at first, but then Brady started rambling about Holly’s unstable life and how she might’ve resorted to taking drugs.
Nicole blew up at Brady for talking about her daughter like that and wanted him to get out. EJ returned and lashed out as well, so Brady was frustrated as he left.
Once EJ was alone with Nicole, he insisted Holly would be OK and swore on Stefano DiMera’s (Joseph Mascolo) soul that Tate would pay.
After Brady reconvened with Theresa and Tate at the jail, he delivered the bad news about striking out with Nicole.
Even so, Brady swore on Victor Kiriakis’ (John Aniston) soul that he’d get Tate out of there.
At home on Wednesday’s DOOL show, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry) made a disgusting-looking green drink and told Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) that her thyroid condition was a wakeup call to take better care of herself.
In fact, Paulina suggested her health drama was a blessing in disguise since she’d been looking into some healthy foods that could help with Abe Carver’s (James Reynolds) memory.
After Abe showed up with chocolate croissants, Paulina insisted they wouldn’t be needing those and explained her new diet plan.
Once Chanel left, Paulina started hinting about a memory-boosting diet for Abe, but he reminded her that his memory might never come back.
Paulina assured Abe that even if he never remembered his past, that didn’t change how she felt about him.
Although Paulina was uncertain about making her next suggestion, Abe urged her to go ahead.
Paulina said she’d been reading up on amnesia and thought watching their wedding video might jog something.
Abe was skeptical about it working, but he confessed that he did want to watch their ceremony.
Both Abe and Paulina teared up during the video, which led to Abe wanting to kiss Paulina.
Before Paulina and Abe could lock lips, they were interrupted by Brady’s phone call. Brady urged Paulina to fire EJ, but she refused since he was still operating within the confines of the law.
Paulina seemed conflicted about her decision once she hung up, but Abe trusted her to make the right calls and finally got that kiss he wanted.
At the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) brought Everett Lynch (Blake Berris) some coffee just the way he liked it.
Everett bounced some ideas around for The Spectator with Stephanie and mentioned that Leo Stark’s (Greg Rikaart) column was late.
Leo claimed he had a lot of material to sort through, so Everett hinted about everybody in Salem having a secret.
Stephanie flashed back to waking up in Harris Michaels’ (Steve Burton) bed, but she obviously didn’t tell Everett about that.
Meanwhile, Jada Hunter (Elia Cantu) helped Harris with a drug bust since the guy had been caught selling to an undercover cop.
Harris pushed “Mr. Smith” to turn in his boss or face hard time, but the perp refused to cooperate.
After Harris sent Jada off to grab a bite to eat, she headed to the pub and just barely missed Everett on his way out. Jada was looking down at her phone and didn’t see her apparent ex-husband.
Once Jada joined Stephanie, they joked about no more day drinking since things got out of hand last time. Jada hoped that Harris had been a perfect gentleman, so Stephanie confirmed that he had been.
Stephanie also confessed to kissing her ex on New Year’s Eve, so Jada seemed thrilled over the gossip.
At the police station, Everett showed up to grill Harris about the newly arrested criminal, whose real name turned out to be Roy Hulsenkamp (Arsenio Castellanos)
Everett wanted to take a crack at Mr. Hulsenkamp and hopefully pry his boss’ name out of him, but Harris couldn’t let a reporter conduct an interrogation.
Although Everett understood, he pointed out he was on the same side as Harris and wished him luck since he was going to need it.
Back at the pub on Wednesday’s Days episode, Chanel ran into Jada and Stephanie. That led to Chanel and Jada awkwardly discussing Talia Hunter (Aketra Sevillian) as Everett approached the window.
Everett saw Jada from the back, but he didn’t recognize her and got called away to help Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) at the office.
Days of Our Lives spoilers say Jada and Everett have to spot each other sooner or later, so stay tuned for updates on that long-awaited encounter.
