General Hospital Recap: Friday, February 9 – Dex’s Offshore Bank Account Alarms Sonny – Jordan’s Date Cut Short

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Friday, February 9, reveals that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) awkwardly knocked on the door of the gatehouse, but Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) said it wasn’t necessary since this was his home, too.

Michael was uncertain of whether he could stay for the night or come home for good, so Willow admitted she wasn’t sure.

Willow didn’t want to rush things, but she acknowledged that Michael always had protective intentions.

Willow was focused on what Michael would do moving forward and was glad he turned down Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) request for Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) revenge help.

Michael thanked Willow for giving him the push he needed to reach out to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who now knew the truth about him blackmailing Nina.

When Wiley Quartermaine (Viron Weaver) learned Michael was staying the night, he wanted to take daddy upstairs for some magic tricks. Michael returned to find that Willow had fallen asleep, so he sweetly covered he up.

In Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) kitchen, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was wary of posting pics of herself with Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) online when Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and Spencer’s family were grieving.

Carly and Drew felt it would be a nice gesture, so Josslyn indeed posted the pics and was relieved when she got Trina’s approval.

After Carly faced another advertiser who was threatening to walk on Friday’s GH episode, Drew handled the phone call for her.

Once Drew returned from taking that call, he admitted the advertiser would extend the contract if Carly was in it for the long haul.

After the topic of Drew’s payback and his attempt to recruit Michael came up, Carly argued that the best revenge was making the magazine a success and just forgetting about Nina.

Drew didn’t want Nina to get away with everything, but Carly needed him to drop this before she’d make a bigger commitment to Crimson.

Drew agreed to press pause, but he wanted to make sure Carly was sticking with Crimson for the right reasons.

Carly admitted she was liking her new job now that she was settling in, so Drew was excited for her to remain Crimson’s editor-in-chief.

At the ax throwing club, Cody Spinelli (Josh Kelly) suggested pairing off into teams and raising the stakes.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) was on Cody’s side while Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) was paired up with Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms).

Cody suggested that the losers would fund a night out for the winning team, but Spinelli confronted him privately about what he was doing.

Cody insisted he was trying to help Spinelli score a date with Maxie and pushed him to go for it.

Although Spinelli acted like he only had platonic feelings for Maxie, Cody didn’t believe him and planned to make sure Spinelli’s team won.

After Spinelli and Maxie’s team indeed emerged victorious, they embraced as Cody offered a thumbs up.

At The Savoy, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) joined Brick (Stephen A. Smith) and expressed surprise over him using his favor for a drink with her.

Brick acted like it was all part of the plan and stepped toward Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) at the bar at one point.

Since Dex was on duty for Sonny, he turned down Brick’s offer to buy him a drink and stuck with soda. Dex offered to buy Brick a drink instead and offered up his credit card for an expensive one that was seemingly above his paygrade.

When Dex hinted about how he’d been saving for a rainy day, Brick thought it seemed like he was building an ark!

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was supposed to join Dex in watching his favorite band perform, but she admitted she’d rather be alone with him.

After Dex left with Josslyn, Brick cut his flirty night with Jordan short – though he hoped his luck would hold since she had his private number.

In bed together, Dex assured Josslyn that he was right where he wanted to be and nuzzled her close to comfort her.

In Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) office, he let John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) insult him over the past since he felt John was entitled to a couple shots.

However, Sonny eventually announced that the freebies were over and refused to let John keep berating him over things that happened 30 years ago.

John announced that he was there to save Sonny’s life, but Sonny seemed skeptical and didn’t want help from the feds.

Although John acknowledged that he’d rather let Sonny rot, it was his duty to inform him about what the FBI had discovered.

John offered updates on the string of connected mob hits and pushed for Sonny to cooperate by spilling whatever he knew.

Sonny remained guarded, so an irritated John told him to watch his back since the threat was already in Sonny’s house.

Afterward, Brick arrived with news about an offshore bank account with too many zeros and gave Sonny three guesses about who it belonged to.

Sonny only needed one and realized it belonged to Dex.

General Hospital spoilers say Dex is on the verge of dealing with some serious drama, so stick with the ABC soap.
