General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) brought up an intriguing idea during the recent wedding festivities. Once Jason crossed paths with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) at the reception, he wondered how Jake Webber (Hudson West) would feel about spending the day at the lake with him.
Jason suggested that maybe he could go fishing with Jake or perhaps go out on a speedboat if Jake found the first option too boring.
It’s clear that Jason would like a chance to bond with Jake and rebuild their relationship, so a day at the lake sounds like a nice start.
Of course, Jake hasn’t been very receptive to Jason’s efforts to reach out so far.
Although Jake blames Jason for bailing on him and not being a good father, he doesn’t have the whole story.
Even if Jason isn’t going to win any father of the year awards, he loves his sons and wouldn’t have abandoned them the way he did without the FBI backing him into a corner.
Some might judge Jason for putting Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) needs above his children’s, but the truth is he thought he’d be sacrificing a few months to save Carly from two decades behind bars.
This Pikeman takedown mission has turned into a far bigger project than Jason anticipated – and it could lead to some scary risks for those closest to him as well.
That brings us Jason and Jake’s potential day at the lake, which could become a reality – especially if Liz gives Jake a nudge to go with his dad and respect that he’s trying.
This could turn into a turning point in Jake and Jason’s relationship if they indeed do some bonding during their little lake adventure.
However, it could also lead to trouble if Pikeman chooses that moment to carry out an elimination attempt.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) spoke with Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) about hopefully wiping Jason off the map and pinning it on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Pikeman wants Jason gone now that his cover’s been blown, so sending someone to target him while he’s at the lake could be a possibility. Could Jason put Jake in danger with a new bonding session?
