General Hospital Thursday, May 9 Recap: Sonny’s Betrayal Enrages Ava – Jason’s FBI Confession Stuns Sam

General Hospital (GH) spoilers recap for Thursday, May 9, reveals that Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) admitted to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) that he wanted to skip Coney Island and focus on gearing up for the actual wedding.

Chase was clearly relieved since Gregory brought it up first – and Finn assured Gregory that he was making the right decision.

However, Gregory lashed out when Finn wanted to get a home healthcare aide to watch over him while they were gone.

That led to some old wounds reopening as Gregory alluded to Finn sleeping with Jackie Templeton (Kim Delaney) the night before his dad’s wedding and then disappearing.

After Finn left, Gregory cooled down and apologized to Chase, who offered reassurance.

Chase worried that maybe asking Gregory to preside over the ceremony had put too much pressure on him, but Gregory insisted it was his greatest honor.

Next on Thursday’s GH episode, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) talked to Laura Collins (Genie Francis) about some research related to Heather Webber’s (Alley Mills) case and told Laura to send her the court transcripts.

Later, Finn arrived and gave Alexis updates on Gregory’s blowup over his past mistakes.

Alexis offered Finn a pep talk and eventually called Gregory to ask if he’d help her prepare for her upcoming hearing in Albany.

Gregory agreed to let Alexis come over tonight, so that put Finn’s mind at ease about leaving his dad while the rehearsal dinner was going on.

When Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) showed up in Laura’s office, she overheard her discussing Heather’s case over the phone.

Jordan warned Laura to let an outside party handle this or else she could totally sabotage her career.

At the Corinthos Coffee warehouse, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) grilled Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) about Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), who wasn’t in class and missed an appointment with his counselor.

Jason admitted he hadn’t seen Danny and found out that he’d left his phone under a pile of clothes at home.

Sam thought that was a deliberate move so that she couldn’t track Danny.

Jason argued that Danny felt like he was in trouble no matter what and suggested that Sam was training him to lie to her.

Sam acted like Jason knew nothing about parenting teenagers, but he basically said she was too controlling.

Once the counselor called back with news about messing up the appointment time, Sam learned Danny really had been in class.

The teacher was just late putting the attendance in the computer system.

Sam invited Jason to say he told her so, but he was just glad Danny was safe.

When Sam mentioned Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Jason’s reaction told her that there were issues between them.

Jason eventually admitted he’d been an undercover informant for the FBI and that he was still working for them now.

Sam realized this must involve John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington) and wondered how Jason got mixed up in all this.

Jason couldn’t divulge the details, but he did want Sam to know that he didn’t choose to stay away from his family and would never do that.

On Sam’s way out, she made a phone call to meet with someone.

In Blaze aka Allison Rogers’ (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) suite, Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) showed up to pester Blaze about what she’d be wearing to the wedding and the statement she’d make for her brand.

Natalia also hinted about tagging along and objected when Blaze insisted on taking Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) as her plus one.

There would be a lot of people taking photos at this event, so Natalia had concerns about Blaze’s private life becoming public.

Natalia wanted Blaze to focus on the career boost she could get out of this instead, but Blaze refused to exploit her friend’s nuptials like that.

At the Metro Court, Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) wanted Sonny’s confirmation that he wasn’t bringing Ava Jerome (Maura West) to the wedding.

When Ava returned to the table and hinted about having a new dress if Sonny wanted to take her, he made it clear it wasn’t happening.

Sonny pointed out that the guests who had connection to Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) wouldn’t approve after what Ava did to her.

Ava acted like that was all in the past, but Sonny wondered how long it’d take her to let go of what Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) did to Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin).

That left Ava appalled over Sonny throwing Kiki’s grim fate in her face, so she thought maybe it was time to move out.

Sonny said Ava could indeed move out if she wanted and offered to get a place for her to stay with Avery – or else Avery could stay with him.

Ava insisted she could take care of her daughter the way she always had and stomped off.

Once Natalia appeared, Sonny flirted with her a bit and got her to join him as his table.
