Beyond the Gates spoilers for Friday, June 20, imply some major moments are about to go down as the weekend hits Fairmont Crest.
First off, it sounds like Nicole Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) has life-changing news for Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson), which could end up being terrible news.
Ted is desperate to win Nicole back, but sending flowers isn’t cutting it. After all, keeping a decades-old affair that resulted in an illegitimate child is big.
Plus, having Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) expose the affair at the couple’s anniversary party was the icing on the cake for a divorce.
During the CBS soap’s promo for the week of June 16-20, Nicole is seen in the doorway of Ted’s office, with an envelope.
She tells her estranged hubby that she ‘needs to do this’ and he agrees to get it done.
Could these be legal divorce or separation papers that need to be signed? There was a while back when Nicole wanted to sell their Fairmont Gates mansion, so perhaps she’s pushing the button on this idea.
Across town, Nicole’s bestie, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) will lean into her new partnership with Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom), but what does this mean, exactly?
Will these two talk business or dabble in a little pleasure? Maybe, both! The lines seem to be blurred with Vanessa and Joey’s new relationship.
After all, Vanessa stunned fans (and Joey) earlier this week when she took a softer approach with him, but a hard stance on their business deal.
Vanessa should be outraged that Joey used Doug McBride’s (Jason Graham) gambling addiction to try and get to her real estate firm, but for one reason or another, she was more disappointed that he wasted all that time scheming rather than just approaching her directly.
She finagled an interesting deal that saw Doug’s gambling debt wiped away, plus hiked up the cut she and Doug would get from Joey’s shady activities.
The two sealed their agreement with a kiss (and then some).
With that said, is Vanessa just taken with Joey, or does she have a scheme of her own to bring him day – payback for how he *almost* tore her family apart?
Speaking of destroying families, the mysterious country club busboy, now known as Kenneth (Jason Vendryes), has been following around Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) and Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and up to no good.
Despite fluffing things off during a recent confrontation with the congressman, Kenneth seems to know all about Martin’s secret and is playing mind games.
During BTG’s Thursday, June 19 episode, Martin filled his grandfather in on the busboy and how he believes he’s linked to “that night”.
While Vernon did confront Kenneth, once again, the mystery man played innocent.
As the show progressed, Vernon made a call to someone unknown, telling them they had promised the problem would be solved.
It sounds like Vernon will take action during Friday’s show, but how will he strike back against Kenneth?
Will he arrange that the man get fired from the country club, or do something more drastic?
Beyond the Gates spoilers imply that Vernon is a great guy, and not a violent person; however, he can be a force to be reckoned with if someone threatens his family, so how will he take control of this situation?
