Beyond the Gates spoilers for Thursday, June 12, suggest some interesting moments in Fairmont Crest, and one big storyline to watch for is Katherine “Kat” Richardson’s (Colby Muhammad) new mission.
It sounds like she’ll be playing a very dangerous game, but Kat’s no stranger to this.
She’s crossed lines, left, right, and center, recently, in an effort to finally prove that Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) was the person who ran Laura Peterson (Destiny Love) off the road, causing the Richardson family’s assistant to suffer from life-threatening injuries.
Thankfully, Laura is recovered and back at work, but Kat has been relentless in her pursuit of linking Leslie and Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) to this crime.
So much so that during the week of June 2-6, Kat broke into Eva’s hotel room, stole the helmet and gloves Leslie used in the crash, and then planted them in Leslie’s apartment.
Of course, after the fact, she manipulates Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) into getting another search warrant for Leslie’s home.
He took the bait, and during the Wednesday, June 11 episode, Jacob was granted approval for a second search warrant and discovered the helmet and gloves, right where Kat left them.
Leslie was stunned and left scrambling; however, while this evidence does make her look bad, without some DNA proof to back things up, the police still don’t have a case.
In addition, the judge has nixed any further search warrants in Leslie’s apartment.
BTG spoilers for June 12 hint that Kat could land herself in a dire situation, so will she attempt to re-enter Leslie’s apartment to gather some sort of DNA to finally nail her nemesis to the wall?
She’s been good at not getting caught, but her luck may run out!
Speaking of Leslie, her daughter Eva will get an unexpected offer from none other than Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson).
Last week, Eva admitted to her dad that while she was grateful for the job he found her, she missed working for the Richardson family as their assistant.
Could Ted present Eva with an offer to work at his office?
Fans may recall that Kat used to do some work for her dad in this regard; however, she has been a tad preoccupied with helping Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) launch her purse brand.
Not to mention all the work she’s been doing helping Jacob with his case (something that doesn’t exactly pay the bills but will “pay off” in terms of revenge at some point).
Still, if Ted offers Eva Kat’s old role in his office, will he add fuel to the fire when it comes to the animosity she has for her half-sister?
Across town, Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) will get a new investigative journalism assignment, but this could spell bad news for his marriage.
BTG spoilers imply this could create some problems for Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon).
Fans know that Martin has a secret that he, along with Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), are desperately trying to keep under wraps.
Beyond the Gates spoilers indicate that there’s nothing soaps love more than irony, so if Smitty has been given a story that is linked to Martin’s secret, fans can expect the drama to hit fever-pitch as the journalist digs for information, and his husband scrambles to cover things up.
