There’s a lot of drama to unpack for the next 14 days, so let’s get into it!
Beyond the Gates spoilers for the week of January 5-9 indicate that Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) will begin to prepare for her cancer treatments, which begin as of the Friday, January 9 episode.
She’ll get an unexpected visit from an old friend, and it sounds like things will get tense during their confrontation.
Whatever happens during that encounter will trigger her to secretly concoct a plan for her family, so it sounds like she’ll organize a party for her children and grandchildren on the cusp of her therapy.
Anita’s the first one to always tell her loved ones to face their fears with bravery, so she’ll decide to act as an example on the cusp of starting chemo.
From the looks of the BTG preview, the Dupree family will make some nice memories, which will be a silver lining in this entire devastating situation.
Anita’s daughters will quickly start the process of genetic testing and get bloodwork done early this coming week.
With that said, both Nicole and Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley) will admit how drawn they are to exes, Ted Richardson (Keith D. Robinson) and Bill Hamilton (Timon Durrett), during this tragedy.
Still, will either of the ladies act on their feelings?
The good news is, their current men, Dr. Carlton Fitzgerald (Robert Christopher Riley) and Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) will be there to comfort them, so here’s hoping neither Nicole nor Dani crosses a line with Bill or Ted.
Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis) was a bit worried about Dani bonding with Bill this past week, so he’ll offer his daughter some words of wisdom at some point during the week of January 5-9.
Across town, Tyrell Richardson (Jaden Lucas Miller) will hit a milestone of sorts with girlfriend, Jessica (Camryn Jade).
Will the young couple have their first fight? Whatever goes down will have Tyrell acting very out of sorts.
BTG spoilers hint that Tyrell will have a fight with Nicole about a family event, which is crazy considering how much he loves his grandmother and she loves him.
Will he want to hang out with Jessica instead of being by Anita and the Duprees during this trying time?
By the end of the week, Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Bradley “Smitty” Smith (Mike Manning) will be quite worried about Tyrell’s behavior.
Over at the casino, Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) will have some terrible news for Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom).
It sounds like she’ll find out about Anita’s cancer, as well as Nicole and Dani’s testing.
Interestingly enough, Vanessa will not only be distressed, but she’ll have a request for Joey. What could this be about?
In other Joey news, he’ll present a proposal to Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), with a catch.
It sounds like he’ll agree to help her out with her free clinic project, but what will the stipulation be?
Speaking of Leslie, she and Detective Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy) will continue to get closer, and from the sounds of it, her daughter Eva Thomas (Ambyr Michelle) will also continue to enjoy things with Izaiah Hawthorne (David Lami Friebe).
During the week of January 12-19, fans can expect to see both of these couples continue to bond, with sparks flying, left, right, and center.
Beyond the Gates viewers should also brace for Leslie and Marcel to possibly hit the sheets.
In other romance developments, Ashley Morgan (Jen Jacob) may get a new love interest the week of January 12-16.
The Season 2 preview reveals that the nurse is about to plant a kiss on Jordi Vilasuso’s new character, so he should debut on the CBS daytime drama very soon.
Plus, Ted and Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) are sure to get closer after their kiss on NYE, so fans will have to tune in to see how this relationship blossoms.
Lastly, Dani and Nicole’s test results will be in, and all arrows are pointing to Nicole getting positive results for the cancer genetic marker.
As Katherine “Kat” Richardson (Colby Natasha Nixon) has been adamant about not getting tested, this will be a point of contention and conflict during the week of January 12-16.
