In tonight’s Big Brother episode, the road to the Finale begins with tonight’s Double Eviction! It happened to come at the perfect time too. It was Yash’s HOH this week. He wanted to weaken an alliance of three on the other side of the house. His target had initially been Drew until Drew won Veto.
He took himself off the block. Yash had to nominate his number one in this game. He nominated Taylor. She sat with Barrett and Melody. Things going well could have both Barrett and Melody going home. The houseguests hadn’t known about the Double Eviction.
They were kept in the dark by production. Julie Chen sprung it on them Live tonight. First, they had to deal with the repercussions of the Veto meeting. Drew has been known to lie so that deal with Yash might not have meant anything anyway. He might’ve voted out Taylor if he knew there was a point in any of it.
He was just smart enough to realize he doesn’t have the votes to save his friends. He was one guy. He might as well vote with the house. It would save him a lot of hassle. He might’ve changed his mind if he knew about the Double Eviction.
Drew tried to approach Devens to see where he was leaning. Devens refused to commit to anything. He continued to play mysterious and truthfully he was giddy that Drew approached him.
It left him believing that Drew didn’t see him as a target. Maybe Drew didn’t see him as a target at the start. It was after that conversation though that had Drew getting frustrated with Devens’s shtick. He said they’ve been working together since day one. It was either trust him or not. He didn’t like the going back and forth.
Angela meanwhile made it to the jury house. She ran into Lala. They cheered all the tea. Angela also got Lala to turn on Barrett as well. Barrett had been carried through the game and he risked it all by putting everyone in his alliance up on the block.
He got blindsided in the vote. He was now on the block a week later. He knew he was the backup with Drew sitting next to him. Now, that Drew wasn’t there to catch heat, it was Barrett that was going home. He began crying one day because he was so worried about how things would turn out.
Barrett felt so disappointed with himself. He was truly worried about going home. The one thing that could stop it was the BB Blockbuster.
Yes, the final chance to take yourself off the block. Barrett was competing against Melody and Taylor. The ladies had already cementing their alliances. Taylor befriended Dee and Devens.
She created an official alliance with them and Yash. Melody thinks because she was talking to Dee that maybe Dee wouldn’t vote her out. She forgot Dee was cutthroat. Dee has betrayed many an ally in this game.
Plus, didn’t she betray Melody once before? Mallory wasn’t there. Melody tried talking to Drew about it. Drew didn’t want to vote her out.
He was just thinking that Melody hasn’t won anything all season. She needed to prove she could be taken with him into the final two and batting her eyelashes wasn’t going to keep working on him.
Drew proved willing to betray everyone in this game. He didn’t come for friendships. He came for the cash prize. Melody might even have respected him more if she wasn’t trying to play him and prove willing to betray him the first chance she got.
The BB Blockbuster had the three nominees racing to curve a ball down a maze. Barrett had won his HOH on something similar, but he hadn’t won tonight.
The maze was tougher. The ball was heavier. He lost out to Melody. Melody won her first competition and she took herself off the block. Good.
She’d need that because Drew couldn’t be relied on. Barrett and Taylor remained on the block. The two remaining nominees both made their cases and maybe if Taylor hadn’t been sitting next to Barrett – it might’ve ended differently.
All the same it was Barrett who was evicted tonight. Barrett left with a final message of “I Love You”. He had probably the quickest goodbye ever. He got out and he kinda saw it coming.
He wasn’t even mad at Drew. Not really. He was annoyed at getting voted out and still he remembered how he almost came close to voting out Drew at one time. It would’ve been a nice story to tell if they made it to the final two. Drew’s goodbye was the most honest. He said he hoped not to see him at the jury house. He simply wasn’t sure how long he had with a bunch of crazy people.
They’ve all gotten to a point where they liked each other on a personal level. They were now officially voting on a game level. It wasn’t about sentiment anymore. Julie announced it was Double Eviction. They needed to name a new HOH as fast as possible. They played Beeping Through Time.
They were shown clips from their season from former houseguests. They then had to answer true or false questions about what they watched as well as what they thought had been beeped out. This game was set for Melody.
Melody was a Corporate Gameshow Host. She was good at this game. She got one question wrong before taking the lead again. It sucks that Yash couldn’t play because he’s good at this game too. Melody won. She had to nominate two people tonight. She nominated Dee and Devens. There was a Veto competition.
Devens won that competition. He was now safe. The same couldn’t be said of Dee. Dee was facing one other person on the block. Who will it be, Melody? Melody was talking to Taylor and Yash. They tried to get her focused on people who they could lose at this time.
With Devens off the block, who comes on? Yash. Yash ended up sitting on that couch. He was sitting next to Dee so it was Yash who went home. Yash never trusted Drew and so he doesn’t feel betrayed by him. Yash going to the jury house will also be fun because Angela and Lala will want fresh tea. Yash was a comps winner.
He could’ve won it all based on those skills. What sunk him tonight was that Melody was HOH. She had an issue with the icons and Yash ended up as a renom once Devens took himself off the block.
Now the house is clearly divided. Drew and Melody in their alliance. Dee and Devens in their alliance. Then there was Taylor. Taylor lost her number one ally. She doesn’t have Lala. She’s standing on her own. She’ll either pull off an incredible win or go home on the next house vote.
