In tonight’s Boston Blue episode, there’s been a lead in the attempted murder on Detective Brian Rodgers. Lena has been working the case. She’s been doing so with her partner, Danny. Danny was there when they both heard that someone was coming after Lena’s loved ones and she didn’t know why.

Whoever was responsible even tried to sink her mother’s reelection bid to District Attorney. They sent a photo of Mae meeting with her ex-con of an ex. He was also the father of her daughter. They made it look like she was still entangled with him because they thought it would win points with the voters. And that they it could be used against her during the debates.

Lena figured that out when she questioned Thaddeus. Now, he was demanding that Internal Affairs open an investigation into her because she threatened him. He really wanted to play up police brutality. He didn’t care that he got a tip off from someone who attempted to murder Lena’s boyfriend.

The one thing they knew about this person was that they were from Eastborough. It’s where Lena’s dad was chief. The actions could involve her father. He was a police officer. He’s arrested a lot of people in that small town and one of them could be seeking revenge.

Namely one of Cain’s Disciples. They were a biker gang that the Chief loves to harass. Chris was a lot like Lena in that sense. He and his son-in-law traveled to Boston to talk to Lena about her case. He said the disciples were believed to be involved in the meth trade. They were frequently in and out of prison.

They were known for violence. He didn’t doubt one of them might be responsible. He just didn’t think the shot-caller would make the drive to Boston to kill the Chief’s potential son-law. That will only happen if they either had more evidence than they thought or someone went rogue.

It might’ve been the latter. They found the parts that were stripped from the car that ran Brian off the road. There was blood on the wheel from the driver. He injured his head when he crashed the car.

Lena and Danny went to Eastborough. They spotted one of the disciples with a head injury. They hadn’t arrested him in front of his people because they worried that he might get killed before they made it to Boston. Therefore, they waited until he was alone. They waited until the probie picked up the food for the bikers.

He tried to run when they saw him, but they caught him. They arrested him. They questioned him. He admitted that he was just supposed to take a photo at first. His orders changed later on because Brian was working a drug case that involved them. They were worried he might find their meth lab. The probie told the cops where it was. Chris had his people move on the building. The detectives meanwhile brought the kid back to Boston to face charges. He’ll get a deal for his cooperation and protective custody. It was better than the alternative.

The probie was supposed to shoot Brian. He chickened out by using his car. The mistake will have the bikers turn against him for the mistake. Especially once they hear that Brian was still alive. They were taking the kid out of town when the bikers laid a trap for them. They blocked them on the bridge. It was a trap that they inadvertently walked right into. They were dealing with that meanwhile back in Boston – Sean and Jonah were getting in trouble. It was technically just Sean in trouble for a bit before Jonah ended up including himself in that mess.

They arrested a woman for vandalism. She was messing up a guy’s car because he didn’t pay her. She was a prostitute. He was cheap. She provided services and he was just going to leave without paying her. They were told not to waste everyone’s time by getting him on solicitiation. They still arrested the woman for vandalism. It didn’t sit right with Sean. Sean was already in trouble because his new Sergeant came down on him on her first day. This merely added to it. Sean then made it worse when they provoked the john into trying to hit them. They arrested him for it.

Their sergeant was making them release the guy when they called the guy’s fiancé. Let her know all about the accusation. She gave the hooker her engagement ring and then broke up with the jerk. The ring paid for bail as well as former services. Sean still ended up on a list. Whatever that means. He just thought the whole thing worth it. Sarah also got worried when she didn’t hear from Lena. She took her officers to the bridge and they rescued Lena, Danny, and now the primary witness. It turns out the doctor they got to stitch up the kid had betrayed them.

Her medical clinic was a cover for a drug operation. The Disciples were actually her people. It crosses states and that’s when the DEA swooped in. They’ve had an eye on the good doctor for a while. They were taking over the case. There wasn’t anything Boston PD could do to stop it. Brian revealed tonight that he took a job offer with the DEA. He hated that he wasn’t reinstated. He felt that the Silvers hadn’t protected him like he thought they should. And while he didn’t officially break up with Lena, they did say goodbye to each other and hopefully it wasn’t for forever.

Mae even got Thaddeus to agree to a détente by finding dirt on him. Lena wasn’t in trouble. Mae and the jerk were going to fight for the votes fairly.

And Danny’s girlfriend Maria came to a decision about her adopted daughter. The little girl’s biological grandmother reached out for contact. They checked her out of course because they were cops and they both came to the decision that the woman deserved a relationship with her late daughter’s child.

THE END!
