On tonight’s CIA episode, there’s a mole in NY CIA operation. FBI Agent Bill Goodman was tasked with finding this mole. He came to believe that CIA Agent Colin Glass might be compromised and it turns out that neither of them knew how much was true. Colin wasn’t the mole. The mole all along had been his late partner.
Toni didn’t die from the blast in the Philippines. She actually worked for Pyramid. She sussed out that an asset was gaining information on them and that he wasn’t alone. She got pulled from the field. She was never given a chance to warn Colin or even to say goodbye because the blast happened less than a minute after she left.
The only thing that saved Colin was the fact he was perpetually late. He was supposed to be at that meeting with Toni. He let her go ahead without him.
It was the one thing that saved him. It also left a question of if she planned on killing him too. Colin doesn’t believe she wanted him dead. Even as he realized he severely underestimated her, he doesn’t think she’d have him killed. He believed she had been killed. Its why he hunted for answers on who was behind it for the past year. He wanted to get justice for her.
It directly led to his team questioning that partnership. Toni was a mole. She just wasn’t the only one. Kevin Turner was also deemed to have played a part.
He was killed at St. Simon’s hospital by Toni. Pyramid would only risk her if it was important. The FBI wanted to officially investigate Turner’s death because it happened on American soil. The death of a government official on their own soil was usually handled by the FBI. Only Colin shut down the mere idea of it. He felt the CIA should be allowed to clean up their own house.
His team didn’t seem to be too happy about it. Nikki was already catching flak from her own boss. She wanted to bring in Toni now that she knew she was alive and question her. She could potentially bring down Pyramid with her testimony alone. Only Pyramid must have realized the same.
They were looking for her. Colin once believed he knew Toni best. He knew that about her dove tattoo and that’s how he found her hiding spot. She was staying in a bird cage on the roof of some building. She wasn’t there when they searched it. And that’s okay because they ran into a Pyramid guy who was also looking for her on that roof.
Bill was fighting the guy before Colin stepped in. They ended up killing the Pyramid man. Which wasn’t enough for Colin because he was ready to desecrate a corpse in his anger. This wasn’t some case for him. It became personal once it included Toni. He loved her. He might still love her.
He thought she loved him back and in spite of the whole investigation he still can’t let that idea go. He checked the dead man’s phone. He found out that the guy wasn’t Toni’s backup. He was following her.
The dead man was identified as Slater McAdams. He’s been following Toni for months. He took surveillance photos of her to send to Harold Tan. Tan was former NSA. He was eventually let go. He lost his clearance. He joined private security and came to work for Pyramid.
Tan was supposed to meet up with McAdams at Grand Central. Bill chose to go in McAdams’s place. Colin pretended to be a janitor. Bill kept an eye on the target. Tan had never met McAdams in person. They were going to use that to get information when suddenly shots rang out at Grand Central.
Toni of all people shot Tan. Colin followed her. He tried to reason with her. Toni used a flash bomb to get away. The only thing she said that made sense was that she wasn’t behind the bombing. They still had Tan. Colin threatened his life to get him to talk. It frightened Tan enough to demand Immunity and protection.
He needed protecting from Toni. She was fine right after the bombing. Then something changed four months ago. She began hunting down Pyramid’s men. She killed Turner without their say so. She’s gone rogue.
Tan even played a message she left on their phone saying she was going to kill all of them. Over what someone might ask? Over the bombing. Tan later escaped custody by stabbing his nurse and beating up a cop before he fled. The CIA figured out where he was heading. Tan’s boss was the CEO of Pyramid.
Joanne was throwing a investor’s party. Its what Toni tried to stop. The meeting wasn’t an expansion after all. It was a coup. Tan planned on taking out Joanne at the party. The CIA hadn’t known that when they sent men to protect her.
Bill used Sarah to gain access to the party. Colin didn’t like it so he demanded to go along. He didn’t use an invitation. He snuck in and he found Toni with a gun and Joanne.
Toni was doing all of this to protect Joanne from the coup. It was the right thing to do once she realized that Tan acted off book by bombing that restaurant to kill one man. Toni ended up killing Tan at the party. She, Colin, Bill, Sarah, and Joanne then escaped through the tunnels that led to the boathouse. They got away before any more of Tan’s men could harm them.
Toni just wanted to be free now. She happily handed herself over to be questioned by Bill. Colin didn’t sit in, but he did make sure to watch the proceedings from the mirror. They stopped a coup. Toni just had to reveal what else she knew about Pyramid or at least the version that Tan was secretly running.
THE END!
