In tonight’s FBI episode, an armored truck was robbed in broad daylight. The drivers were subdued initially. Up until the thieves changed their minds about them. They stole potential bioweapons from the truck and then seemingly decided to abduct the men operating that truck. It didn’t make sense.
The men were no longer a risk. They hadn’t seen anyone’s face. They were taken for direct cause and so were several vials of whatever they were transporting. It led to a lot of frustration because Isobel asked what the bioweapon was. She was told that it was classified. She doesn’t have high enough clearance to know what was being moved.
The clearance issue went for her team as well. No one knew what was stolen. Jubal simply told them to operate as if it was the worst of the worst. The focus was on getting back the two men and stopping a potential bio attack. One of the guards had shot the thieves. They had his blood in their records.
His name was Devon Reinhardt. He was former military. He lived with a girlfriend. Her name was Tanya. She didn’t want to be an accessory to murder so she told the FBI that she thought she overheard his buddy Charlie on his last phone call home.
Charlie was actually Charlotte Martinez. She was former military herself. She also owned a local bar. The FBI sent agents to the bar and it was closed, but they let themselves in only to hear screams. The drivers were being tortured. It turns out that the real vials hadn’t been onboard.
The men were being tortured by a black ops unit because everyone wanted to know where the vials were. This CIA team was also being led by Anna Vorpe. She was problematic to the say the least. Isobel had tried to report Anna a while ago for another one of her missions that put lives at stake and she got shut down.
The Secretary of Defense had even given Isobel a call to drop it. Anna was protected. She was practically bullet proof and so the fact she abducted two Americans on American soil just to torture them was overlooked. Isobel warned her team that there was nothing they could do about it now.
It would take a silver bullet to take down Anna. It didn’t matter that the men she abducted had been cleared. The FBI had to report to her because it was her unit that was taking the lead. The only thing Isobel asked in return was full clearance.
The government received intel of an imminent attack on American soil. They tried to stop the Kingsdale Institute of Virology from transferring the vials of a dangerous pathogen. They were too late because by time they got the intel – the vials were already on the truck. Anna then gave the call.
She called for her team to take the truck and steal the vials. She didn’t count on them already being stolen. Her team found fakes in the vials they confiscated. It was actually household bleach they found. The real stuff, the dangerous stuff was swapped out at Kingsdale.
They checked the lab logs. They found out that one of the women that works there was the inside person. Her name was Dr. Eloise Karcher. Kingsdale didn’t just house bioweapons. They created them. They created something called EMA. It was highly contagious as well as fatal. It was airborne.
Eloise began ranting online about cuts in government funding and she got catfished by someone claiming to be Dr. Jason Kisling. He was reportedly a doctor in the UK. He claimed he wanted to study EMA and that it was difficult because they didn’t have access to it like their American counterparts.
Eloise being the dummy then agreed to steal EMA for him. It wasn’t until she was at the airport that she realized she had been catfished. It hadn’t been Kisling who greeted her. it was two men from South African terrorist group. They believed in death to all non-whites.
They were responsible for several terrorist attack around the world. Eloise realized she had gotten in over her head and she tried to escape with the vials she switched out when they shot her. She was killed instantly. The men grabbed the vials and they escaped the chaos of a crowded airport lobby.
Anna then commandeer the investigation. She found the leader of the terrorist was heading towards Times Square. Isobel convinced her to let he people help. They stopped the man from releasing there. Only he ended up releasing it on a bus. He said there was an antidote.
They had it along with the vials of EMA. He poisoned everyone on the bus and the CDC taped it off so that it couldn’t reach the air. Those people were going to die unless they got the cure. The cure was reportedly hard to make. It would take months to treat everyone onboard unless they stole back what was lost.
The one thing the terrorists wanted was their leader Lorik Basha. He’s been at a black site for the past few years now. The American government doesn’t pay ransoms. They instead hunted down the men and stole back the cure and that’s when Anna made her move.
Her people beat the living daylights out of the FBI Agents to cover up what happened on the bus. They never planned on giving those people the cure.
Their first priority was duplicating the cure in case of any future attacks. It was a cover up and the bus ended up disappearing with all those people still on it.
They were being left to die. So, OA pulled off a daring move. He got himself fired from the FBI and he received a job offer from Anna to join her team. She was bulletproof now but OA planned on finding evidence to take her down.
