In tonight’s CIA episode, Colin regretted what he did. He should never have slept with Nikki. It invites her back into his life. She nearly got him killed once and he knew better than to risk his heart a second time.
He couldn’t even bring himself to write her note as he snuck away the next morning. Colin tried returning to work. Nikki managed to ruin that too. She kept calling him while he was meeting with a target. The lady got super jealous and walked off, but luckily Colin got what he wanted. He’s been using Meghan as a source on her shady boss. Her boss is Allen Perry.
Perry has made deals with oligarchs. He was spending a lot of time in Asia. The CIA wanted eyes on him at all times. They got that when Meghan revealed Perry was returning stateside.
She was his COO. They had kids at the same school. She mentioned that her boss was going to be spending time at a school fundraiser. It didn’t matter if Meghan was going to hold a grudge over another woman calling Colin all the time. She had already given him everything he needed to know and more. She suspected that Perry could be turned into an asset by a foreign government.
They realized tonight that it had been too late to stop that from happening. Perry returned as a traitor. He’s being guarded by North Korean baddies. They sent the very best after him and that meant he had already been turned while overseas.
They were making a move. It was up to the CIA to find out what was involved. What they didn’t need was Bill living dangerously. Bill was so busy chasing ghosts that he was trying to unearth his father’s files. He spoke with his father’s old partner. He wanted to know about everything that was redacted.
It was too much. His dad’s friend thought the same. He asked Bill if he wanted his future child to know about everything he did in the field? Bill couldn’t rightly say yes or no.
He’s made mistakes. He didn’t want to be known for them. Maybe his dad should be put at rest. Bill was considering dropping it when this current case took a turn. They found out that Perry was going to be doing business at the fundraiser itself. Colin needed an invite. He managed to talk Meghan into making her ex-husband jealous with him.
Though it wasn’t helped by over curiosity in her boss. Meghan wasn’t the brightest and neither was her ex-husband. They still spotted something was off with Colin’s (Brad’s) interest in Perry. They got close to him by planting a bug on him. The bug was later found when the North Koreans killed Perry. They also killed a guard and took another hostage. They swept him for bugs. They found the listening device planted on him. They then barged into the fundraiser with guns drawn demanding who planted the device.
By then, the CIA figured out what’s going on. The fundraiser was moved to his location because Perry needed to the University’s computer. He used the access code of a guy that was dead. The dead guy was important because he was Sam Freeman. Freeman wrote a paper about satellite hacking. This was happening at the same time that the North Koreans was stationing themselves at the border with the South. They claimed it was an exercise. They ended up using Freeman’s computer in that lab to slowly begin shutting down American satellites overseeing the North Koreans.
The DOJ sent one of their own to oversee this mission. His daughter was stationed in the South. They were about to be overrun without the satellites and a response from the UN. The spies wanted the American spy. Colin played them against each other. It created enough of a diversion to get the upper hand. They took down the spies from the inside. They also took down the cell jammer that was blocking their signal. They stopped the invasion with a shot up computer. It wasn’t flawless. Colin kinda lost Meghan who realized she still loved her ex.
It was more conscious uncoupling.
Bill also found out that Felix Vincente the international assassin was once his father’s asset. It’s why he redacted the file. It’s why no one would discuss it. They created that assassin and everything he did comes back on them.
