Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Salem is adding a new face, but she should be familiar to plenty of soap fans.
Brytni Sarpy is headed to DOOL, but many viewers will remember her from her time on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless.
Sarpy made her first GH appearance as Valerie Spencer back in 2015.
After Sarpy traded Port Charles for Genoa City in 2019, she debuted as Elena Dawson on Y&R.
Since Elena hasn’t been seen on The Young and the Restless since November 2024, Sarpy has been missing from the soap world for a while.
Thankfully, that’s about to change since a new cast announcement revealed she’s joining Days.
“Someone new is checking into Salem… Welcome Brytni Sarpy to the Days of our Lives family! Stay tuned,” the show said through the DOOL Peacock account on Instagram.
Of course, the show has been rather mysterious about some of their casting news lately.
Although there’s no word yet on exactly who Sarpy is playing, she’s all set to make a big Salem splash.
Sarpy certainly looks happy about her Days gig in the photo that was posted.
In a recent Instagram story, Sarpy also teased that the cat’s “out of the bag” and even offered up a “Meow” as she had a little fun with fans.
In the comments section of the original post, Sarpy received lots of love from her former costars as well as some of her new ones.
Since Sal Stowers (Lani Price-Grant) is close friends with Sarpy in real life, she gave her an especially warm welcome.
“It’s bring your bestie to work day …EVERYDAY!!!!!! so proud of you @brytni SHINE!!!!!” Stowers said.
Unfortunately, viewers will have to be patient when it comes to seeing Sarpy on-screen in Salem.
Since the show films so far in advance, Sarpy won’t make her first appearance until mid-2027.
However, we have no doubt that Sarpy’s debut will be worth the wait. As more information comes in about who Sarpy’s playing, we’ll be sure to pass along all the latest details.
