Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers for Friday, January 2, reveal that that Gwen von Leuschner (Emily O’Brien) will move forward with her twisted plan, so Dimitri von Leuschner’s (Peter Porte) comeback is about to ruin Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) and Javi Hernandez’s (Al Calderon) big night.
After Gwen disconnected from her phone call with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel), she hinted about what she was about to do.
Gwen seems pleased that EJ will be in Italy for a while since she’d rather ask forgiveness than permission.
Of course, Days fans will recall that Gwen and EJ have had conversations about Dimitri, who they teamed up to make disappear.
Although the details haven’t been revealed, it’s obvious that Gwen’s about to free Dimitri from where he’s been stashed.
Gwen no doubt likes the idea of shaking up Leo’s wedding day and getting a little revenge.
Since Gwen also doesn’t want Leo digging any deeper into the shady hospital wing, it’s in her best interest to offer up a distraction.
It doesn’t get more distracting than a former flame showing up out of the blue on your wedding day!
It looks like that’s exactly what Gwen has in mind since Dimitri will appear on Friday’s DOOL episode, which is also when Leo and Javi will have their marriage ceremony.
However, Days spoilers say Gwen will deal with some frustration, so things may not go exactly as she plans.
It’s possible there’ll be a delay that gives Leo and Javi a chance to complete the wedding before Dimitri shows up.
Whatever the case, Dimitri has been kept away from Leo and still loves him, so his desire to be with Javi’s man will lead to trouble in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, Days spoilers say Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) will have some surprising news for Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols), so stay tuned for updates on the shocker ahead.
As for Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson), he’ll have one final Christmas present for Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) to open.
It may be New Year’s Eve in Salem, but Alex will think Stephanie’s going to like his gift despite the fact that it’s coming late.
