Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that paternity changes tend to be pretty common in Salem.
Could Days be gearing up for another one and deliver some fury along with some heartbreak?
Ever since Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins) showed back up in town claiming she had Alex Kiriakis’ (Robert Scott Wilson) daughter, his life has been totally turned upside down.
The same goes for Stephanie Kiriakis (Abigail Klein), who’s had to accept Kelsey Kiriakis’ (Lena and Mira Chase) existence and deal with Alex always riding to Joy’s rescue.
Of course, things got more complicated after Stephanie fired a shot and nearly injured Joy in the process.
Stephanie has apologized for that whole mess, but Joy refuses to let her be around Kelsey at all.
In fact, Joy won’t sign off on any custody agreement that would allow Stephanie to ever be part of Kelsey’s life.
The longer this Days storyline goes on, the worse things get.
Joy’s actions have been putting a strain on Alex’s marriage to Stephanie, which is by design since she obviously wants Alex for herself.
However, Days writers might deliver a big twist somewhere down the line.
Although a DNA test was done that confirmed Alex was the father, we all know those tests don’t usually matter much on DOOL!
There have been plenty of other paternity tests over the years that ended in error or brought a manipulative outcome.
As conniving as Joy is, we wouldn’t be surprised if she found some way to fake the DNA results just to dupe Alex.
It’d be easy for a rewrite to explain that Joy hit the sheets with someone else around the same time as Alex supposedly got her pregnant.
This could turn into another Sophia Choi (Rachel Boyd) situation since Tate Black (Leo Howard) believed he was her “baby daddy” for months before it came out that Aaron Greene (Louis Tomeo) was the father instead.
Will Alex be next in line for an infuriating and heartbreaking paternity shocker?
Could Joy be manipulating Alex and setting him up for some devastation?
