General Hospital (GH) recap for Friday, July 24, reveals that Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) plan to flee Port Charles hit a snag while Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) took drastic action against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
At Bobbie’s, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) apologized to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) for the scrutiny she was under while he was in hiding and revealed his plan to use the WSB to unfreeze his assets.
In Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) office, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was back at work and wound up sitting in on his meeting with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).
Brennan questioned Britt about the missing black box, which she knew nothing about.
Britt was late for work as a result, so Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) reported her for it.
Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) also bickered with Britt a bit, so her return to GH remained challenging.
Back with Josslyn, she quizzed Brennan about the black box and suspected this was about recovering his own secrets.
Brennan made it clear that the contents of the box were classified, so Josslyn accepted that.
At the Quartermaine property, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) showed up with Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), so Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) immediately got uncomfortable.
After Willow mentioned needing to speak with the WSB about something, that got Jason’s attention as she left Drew in Nina’s hands.
Jason sought a new chapter with Drew and ultimately took Rocco inside for a private conversation.
That led to Jason assuring Rocco that his WSB imprisonment wasn’t Rocco’s fault.
Jason promised he’d continue to protect Rocco if need be, but he suspected the WSB wanted all this behind them.
Rocco struggled over the shooting, but Jason pushed him to find a way to let go.
Afterward, Jason headed to the hospital, where Britt flashed a bright smile as he appeared.
Meanwhile, Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Danny spoke to Drew as they tried to establish some family peace.
Next, Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) realized Willow still hadn’t followed through on the appointment for Drew’s communication tools, so she paid Willow a visit in her office.
Liz wondered if maybe there was a reason why Willow didn’t want to give Drew a voice.
Willow played it like she didn’t want to work through the drama in her marriage with Drew speaking through a machine.
However, Willow ultimately acted like Elizabeth was right about Drew needing to be able to communicate and vowed to set it up.
In a moment alone, Willow got a phone call from Brennan about not having the leverage he promised.
Willow feared time was running out since she didn’t have any more paralytic doses for Drew left.
Brennan still wanted to come through for Nina and Willow, so he offered an escape by plane with the kids along with new identities.
Willow ultimately called Nina to tell her about all this, but she left it up to her mom whether she’d come with her and the children.
Nina was alone with Drew by the boathouse when he eventually asked if she got bad news.
After Nina suggested it was worse for Drew, she shoved his wheelchair and sent him tumbling right into the lake!
At the PCPD, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) noted that Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) wanted Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to be his partner again once Chase was reinstated as a detective.
With that in mind, Dante hoped to rebuild trust and gave Chase the opportunity to bring Willow in for questioning himself.
Since Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove) was pointing the finger at Willow over her link to Sidwell, Chase decided things would go more smoothly if he went to get Willow.
Just as Willow was about to head home and prepare for the escape Brennan promised, Chase showed up to take her down to the police station with him.
As for Valentin, he bumped into Josslyn outside Brennan’s WSB office door.
Valentin also approached Brennan and surprised him by offering a deal for the black box.
