General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, August 31, reveals that Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) had a scared meltdown after finding something shocking in the pool.
Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) also made a huge discovery of their own in Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) office.
At the Metro Court Gardens, Ava Jerome (Maura West) babbled on about Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) history and relationship with Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) so that Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) would stay and drink his drugged beverage.
Brennan indeed gulped it down, which led to him getting hot and loosening his tie.
After Brennan took off and got on the elevator, he was disoriented and pushed several buttons as he tried to aim for the right floor.
Next, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) helped Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) steal a key card so they could hunt for dirt in Drew’s office, which was in the Metro Court building.
Once Charlotte and Danny heard Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) coming, they took off instead of sneaking inside.
Valentin and Carly searched Drew’s office instead, which led to Valentin finding Drew’s entire plan for reentering the corporate world.
Valentin and Carly decided they could use this to their advantage.
After Drew rejected Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) attempt to get him to keep the peace with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), he headed to Carly’s office.
Drew used the thumb drive to sabotage the security system and made sure it was set to go offline.
From there, Drew slipped in Brennan’s suite so that he could dig around for the evidence against him.
Back with Ava, she frantically texted Drew since she was unable to detain Brennan any longer.
Since Drew didn’t text back, Ava went to Brennan’s suite and warned him that they needed to get out of there now.
Once Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) met up with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) at the Metro Court Gardens, he mentioned that Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) had been withdrawn lately and wondered if Britt knew anything he should know.
Britt didn’t think it was unusual for a teenager to pull away from his parents and reassured Dante about Rocco.
At the Quartermaine boathouse, Willow was apologetic after leaning on Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) again.
Chase seemed a bit jumpy and put a shirt on, but he reassured Willow about being there for her as a friend.
Once Willow and Chase left, Rocco and Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) popped up from behind the bushes.
Scout fumed over Willow being in love with Chase the whole time she was with Drew and thought he was right to divorce her.
Rocco didn’t have the same view of the conversation they overheard and did his best to settle Scout down.
After Chase opened up to Dante about his tricky situation with Willow, Dante advised against getting tangled up in Willow and Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) drama.
At the Metro Court bar on Monday’s GH episode, Willow wound up joining Britt for a drink.
That led to the pair commiserating over losing love in the past, but Britt suggested Willow might find it again like she had.
At Pentonville, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) wasn’t pleased about Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) being his cellmate.
Sidwell made it clear that it was best for them to avoid friction since they were stuck in this situation together.
With former law enforcement Curtis being at risk from other inmates and Sidwell potentially being Sonny’s target, Sidwell suggested they could both be in each other’s dangerous orbit.
As for Charlotte, she had an idea so that the night wouldn’t be a total bust.
The Metro Court pool was closed for the season, but she convinced Danny to go for one last swim with her anyway.
While Danny was finishing his snack, Charlotte dove in and screamed in horror when she found a suit-wearing body floating in the water.
The body’s face wasn’t shown, but it’s easy to see this must be Brennan!
