General Hospital (GH) recap for Monday, June 8, reveals that Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) and Cassius Faison aka “Nathan West” (Ryan Paevey) faced off over Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) before Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) found out something shocking about Lucas Jones (Van Hansis).
At Wyndemere, Cullum arrived to throw Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) into captivity and realized Josslyn was already being held there.
Cullum fumed and announced that they’d have to be roommates until he could deal with Josslyn later.
Meanwhile, Sidwell brought Cassius in the loop on Cullum’s decision to kidnap Obrecht and force her to take Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) place.
When Cullum appeared, he lashed out over the secrets that were kept from him about Josslyn’s WSB status and capture.
Cassius lashed out as well since Cullum abducted Liesl without his knowledge.
Cullum was eager to kill Josslyn, but Cassius argued that she could still be used for bargaining and that Sidwell agreed.
Cullum suspected Cassius might be going soft after playing the part of Nathan and worried about him sabotaging things.
Cassius acted like Liesl didn’t matter to him after Cullum warned him not to let her get away like Britt.
Down in captivity, Liesl regained consciousness and learned Josslyn was a WSB agent being held there as well.
Josslyn acknowledged someone had been held hostage before them and showed Liesl the message Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) wrote on the wall.
Obrecht also found out about the cold fusion project that she was getting roped into and learned Britt had been forced to work on it in exchange for her Huntington’s medication.
Liesl was confused over why Britt hadn’t received help from “Nathan,” so Josslyn seemed like she was about to spill the twin takeover news when Cassius interrupted.
At the Metro Court Gardens, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) prepared for Sidwell’s blowup since she shut down his flight path and helipad.
Although Sonny had arranged for surveillance for their families to ensure their protection,
Lucas had turned that protection down. Laura was concerned about the threat to Lucas and all the risky moves he was making.
Sidwell eventually stomped over to confront Laura, who made it clear she wouldn’t be controlled by him anymore.
Once Sidwell rushed home to retrieve the blackmail material, he realized it was gone and flashed back to Lucas looking suspicious near the safe.
At GH, Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) informed Lucas about her medical school plans and was sorry she wouldn’t be around for the completion of the tennis center that was being named after Marco Rios (Adrian Anchondo).
Lucas agreed to oversee the rest of the construction while Kristina was gone and felt she’d be a great doctor since she had a big heart.
While Sidwell was fuming over his realization that Lucas had stolen the blackmail photos and negatives, Lucas called him to set up a meeting so they could check on the tennis center construction together.
Back at the Metro Court Gardens, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) asked Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to be his attorney in the criminal trial he was facing.
Alexis rejected the case since Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) already approached her about taking his civil suit against Curtis.
Although Alexis rejected Isaiah as well, she couldn’t represent Curtis since it’d mean grilling Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) on the stand again.
Alexis still regretted how everything went down at Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) trial and refused to be part of any more drama for Portia.
Talk turned to Curtis’ defense strategy of proving Isaiah was the person who fled the scene after Jordan Ashford’s (Tanisha Harper) crash.
Alexis warned that tactic was a gamble since it could backfire on Curtis, but he hoped to destroy Isaiah’s reputation and maybe get him stripped of his medical license.
At the hospital again, Isaiah spoke to Portia after a meeting about a replacement surgeon.
Isaiah shared that he was going to be a diagnostician and consultant during the healing process for his hand, but he couldn’t be certain whether he’d be able to return as a surgeon down the road.
After Portia found out about Isaiah planning to file a civil suit against Curtis, she understood and felt that was justified.
However, Portia worried about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) and requested that Isaiah wait to file until after the baby was born.
Isaiah was OK with that as long as his lawyer cleared it and agreed it wouldn’t hurt the case.
Outside Bobbie’s, Trina got a phone call about an opening at the studio for a showcase rehearsal with Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza), but she skipped it since she still had more baby shower prep work to do.
Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) was concerned over Trina putting her own life on hold, but she insisted she’d concentrate on the showcase once she wrapped up the baby shower stuff.
General Hospital spoilers say Trina will get tangled up in more turmoil soon, so stay tuned.
