General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that some new information is emerging about a fresh face who’s set to hit the screen soon.
You’ve probably heard that Dean Geyer is joining the show as Tristan Roberts, but now there’s confirmation that he’s a hot Australian surgeon who’ll make some waves.
According to GH Head Writers Chris Van Etten and Elizabeth Korte’s recent interview with SOD, Dr. Roberts will be looking for a new beginning when he comes to Port Charles.
Tristan is said to be “witty and unflappable,” but he’ll also be extremely skilled when it comes to what he can do in the operating room.
The doc will accept a job at the hospital, so it sounds like he’ll be replacing Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) now that his injured hand prevents him from performing surgery.
However, it turns out that Tristan’s “clean break with his past will prove difficult when he discovers his adopted home is host to more than a few connections to a life he left behind.”
In other words, Tristan will have to navigate some problems as his history comes back to haunt.
Although Tristan will do his best to put his past to rest, there’ll be some unexpected reminders around PC.
We also know Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) will clash with Tristan right off the bat.
That could explain why a new friendship is set to form between Britt and Isaiah, who’ll perhaps have his own issues with Tristan as the hospital’s replacement surgeon.
When it comes to Britt and Tristan’s conflict, there’s the potential for their feud to turn into some flying sparks.
We could certainly imagine the show leaning into the soap trope of some workplace enemies becoming sizzling lovers behind closed doors.
Dean Geyer started filming on June 1, which is the same day that GH taped its upcoming 16,000th episode that’s set to air on July 13.
It won’t be long until Tristan makes his debut and gets to work in the OR.
