General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there may be a change of plans on Mount Emerson.
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) was previously fixated on ending Britt Westbourne’s (Kelly Thiebaud) life, but she may shift gears and decide to end her own!
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) has been trying to convince Anna that she’ll be giving Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) what she wants if she kills Britt now.
However, Anna is so tormented that she just can’t see a positive path forward.
Anna has been ranting about how Faison lives on in Britt, but she may ultimately feel like she’s the problem here.
Perhaps Anna will determine that if she kills herself instead, this twisted Faison curse will finally be over.
Anna can’t handle “Peter August” (Wes Ramsey) rattling around in her brain telling her to do terrible things anymore.
It’s all been too much for Anna after months of captivity and emotional turmoil.
It’s easy to see why Anna may be tempted to pull the trigger on herself in this devastating climax.
The preview video for GH’s September 9 episode shows Anna insisting she has to end this now, but her tone is different than it was before.
Anna was previously in vengeful mode against Britt, but now it appears she’ll be resigned to end this nightmare another way.
This obviously isn’t the answer, but Anna’s fractured mental state may lead her to believe taking her own life is her best option.
Jason may dive for the weapon once he realizes what’s happening and save Anna from making a horrible mistake.
Anna needs to stick around for herself as well as her family, so Jason may intervene before she makes an awful decision she can’t take back.
Although it seems the gun will fire multiple times in a struggle, Jason may pry it from Anna’s hands before it’s too late.
Anna, Britt and Jason will all survive this ordeal on Mount Emerson, so that’s the good news that’ll come out of all this.
