General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) is wallowing in heartache at the moment, but she’ll eventually have a chance to move on with another man.
Britt will take the first steps toward putting Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) behind her, but there are sure to be some complications along the way.
Although Britt thought she’d found her happy ending, she was obviously wrong about that.
Between their trust issues and Jason’s tendency to put other women first, Britt must be feeling pretty cynical about love right about now.
Britt may think she’s just not built for romance, but GH writers are going to give her another one anyway.
In fact, the groundwork is already being laid for Britt to get together with Tristan Roberts (Dean Geyer).
From the moment Tristan arrived in Port Charles, Britt was thrown into his orbit.
Britt and Tristan clashed right off the bat, which was a telltale sign that they were getting the enemies-to-lovers treatment.
Over time, Tristan has softened toward Britt and seems to understand that she’s been through a lot.
The show keeps finding ways to insert Tristan into Britt’s storyline, so it’s easy to see what’s happening here.
Tristan’s gave Jason news that allowed him to track Britt down and save her life on Mount Emerson.
In the aftermath, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) opened up to Tristan about her PTSD and what it almost drove her to do, so Tristan certainly has sympathy for Britt.
Now that Britt and Jason are over, she may need a little time to heal and reach a place where she can even open her heart again.
However, that day will inevitably come for Britt sooner or later.
With Jason out of the way, the show can officially begin Britt’s new love story with Tristan.
It may be a slow-burn romance, but all signs point to the ABC soap heading in this direction with Tristan and Britt.
Of course, almost every soap couple has to face challenges.
That’ll certainly be the case for Britt and Tristan, so it won’t exactly be smooth sailing when it comes to them pursuing a future.
Britt’s disappointment in Jason could make her too guarded and hinder her efforts to build something new with Tristan.
There’s also the matter of Tristan’s lingering WSB connection and whatever mysterious reports he might still have to deliver.
Britt certainly wants no part of the WSB and all their drama, so that could complicate things and lead to trouble.
Nevertheless, General Hospital spoilers suggest Tristan and Britt are being set up as a fresh romantic offering, so stay tuned to see if true love will bloom.
