General Hospital (GH) spoilers suggest that Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) will stop Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) drowning plan to kill Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Summer preview spoilers reveal that Gio will save the life of someone that not a lot of people will be happy with, so let’s unpack what will happen in GH storylines moving forward.
Willow is desperate to keep Drew in his “locked-in” state as she’s running out of his paralytic medication, and she has no blackmail evidence to keep him quiet.
Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) are desperately looking for his black box that contained incriminating evidence against Drew, but they haven’t been able to locate it yet.
Meanwhile, Willow has been giving Drew small doses of the medication she has left, but he’s slowly regaining mobility.
Drew can move his hands and feet, and during the Wednesday, July 15 episode, fans saw him utter the word, “Willow”.
Drew is well on his way to becoming his old self, so Willow needs to act fast to stop him.
Willow has also been toying with the idea of ending Drew’s life, out of sheer desperation.
Willow stupidly told Drew that she was the one who shot him and placed him in the “locked-in” nightmare he’s in right now.
If Drew regains his communication skills, he could blow Willow’s world apart and ensure she not only loses her job but also access to her kids, too.
Willow is not above murder; however, she needs to be very careful about how she executes this.
As she’s already used a gun and drugs to subdue Drew, she may think of another plan to end him for good.
Drew has some mobility, but if Willow were to wheel him close to water, would the man be able to swim his way out?
Willow could swing by the Metro Court Pool with Drew, but as he’s known to blink odd messages to people, which have raised red flags for some – looking at you, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Elizabeth “Liz” Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) – so this is a major risk.
Still, what if Willow innocently brought Drew to the Quartermaine estate?
She could bring him by when she drops off Wiley Corinthos (Viron Weaver) and Amelia Corinthos (unknown actress) to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
Willow could explain that Drew’s mental health is struggling, and he always loved looking at the lake near the Q boathouse.
Willow could claim she wants to bring him there to offer him some sort of solace.
Of course, Willow will plan to push Drew into the lake when no one is watching, hoping that nature will take its course, so he’ll become a problem that she won’t have to worry about.
The idea would be that she wheeled him near the edge, turned around for a split second, and the chair slipped into the water.
Willow isn’t trained in water life-saving techniques, so she may also scream for help, all for theatrics, knowing no one will be around to help her.
With that said, Gio is always at the Q mansion lately, visiting his mom, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and spending time with his baby sister, Phoebe Wilson (Lucia and Luna Creighton).
Unbeknownst to Willow, Gio might be right around the corner, and he’ll hear her desperate cries for assistance.
As Gio is a trained lifeguard, he’ll jump into action and know exactly what to do.
Gio’s a good person, so it won’t matter that it’s Drew drowning or what he did to the Quartermaines.
All the young man will think about is saving his uncle’s life!
General Hospital spoilers suggest that Gio will be a hero in Drew’s eyes, and everyone else’s (other than Willow’s), so will he be the one to place a major wrench in her plan?
