General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that there may be a limit to Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) support.
Will there come a point when Nina and Willow Cain’s (Katelyn MacMullen) alliance finally falls apart due to Willow’s wild behavior?
The show may be laying the groundwork for that since Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) recently warned Nina about enabling Willow.
Brennan gets that Nina loves her child, but that doesn’t mean she has to stand by all Willow’s terrible decisions.
Jack already urged Nina to take a step back or else Willow could drag her mom down with her.
It’s clear that Brennan was right to worry about Willow’s next moves since she’s stirring up trouble once again.
In the August 24 episode, Willow intentionally provoked Brennan and got him to spill incriminating info.
Thanks to Willow’s cell phone recording, she has proof that Brennan used WSB resources to erase the traffic cam footage and keep her out of the slammer.
It looks like Willow plans to use this recording to blackmail Brennan into handing over leverage on Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson).
However, Nina has grown to care about Brennan, who’s already done a great deal for Willow through the traffic cam situation and the dirt he provided against Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison).
Nina wishes Jack would provide Michael dirt too, but that doesn’t mean she’ll approve of Willow’s methods here.
Once Willow reveals that cell phone recording, Nina may flip out and warn against burning their Brennan alliance with a blackmail plot.
GH spoilers say Nina will unleash her wrath on August 26, so that could be when she’ll find out about Willow’s secret recording scheme.
Nina may lash out at Willow, so that could be the first sign that their alliance is about to crumble, too.
This won’t be enough to sever Willow and Nina’s bond, but more problems could be just around the corner.
If Willow somehow plays a role in Brennan getting killed off this fall, that could be the last straw for Nina.
That might be the ultimate lesson in what Willow is capable of and open Nina’s eyes to her daughter being truly out of control.
Nina may start to fear that if she doesn’t stop enabling Willow like Brennan warned, then Willow could hurt even more people.
