General Hospital (GH) spoilers hint that Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) and Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) could find themselves caught up in a fake romance.
Brennan and Nina have some problems that they may only be able to solve together, so let’s consider how this might go down.
Although Nina didn’t give Brennan another injection, that doesn’t mean his life can just go back to normal.
Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) basically admitted that if Brennan hadn’t become locked in, then he would’ve been sent to Steinmauer.
Of course, knowing how Cullum operates, there’s a good chance he would’ve just killed Brennan instead.
In other words, Brennan’s going to be in grave trouble if Cullum knows about his recovery.
However, Brennan will have another dilemma if he keeps faking his paralysis.
Cullum knows that Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) medication is what caused this, so he also knows Brennan will need to keep getting these doses regularly.
Since Cullum plans on putting Brennan in Turning Woods, we can assume he also plans to pay staff members to give him the paralytic doses.
Nina didn’t inject Brennan again, but Cullum’s employees would have no qualms about putting him right back into a locked-in state.
The best option for Brennan here is to keep his recovery quiet AND avoid going to Turning Woods.
Could Nina ultimately have the solution?
Cullum is already suspicious of Nina since she’s been coming around Brennan’s room constantly.
Although Cullum knows about Drew’s meds being the reason for Brennan’s ordeal, he doesn’t know about Nina’s involvement or how Brennan got dosed.
Nina is trying to play it like she’s just compassionate, but she may spill some different news eventually.
What if Nina decides to claim she’s Brennan’s secret lover?
After all, even Ava Jerome (Maura West) quizzed Nina about how close she’d gotten to Brennan.
Nina’s also had a hard time answering questions about what Brennan was even doing in her house that night.
A love affair would be the perfect cover story – and it would line right up with Brennan’s split from Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).
Nina could play it like they were keeping their affair under wraps, but there’s no need now that Carly and Brennan have broken up.
Naturally, Nina would insist on taking Brennan home with her instead of leaving him lonely at Turning Woods.
Brennan could blink any necessary answers as part of the charade.
From there, Brennan and Nina could have a relationship that’s not too far off from Carly and Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart).
Brennan would be free to move around Nina’s place and could just pretend to be locked in whenever someone came over.
As for Cullum, Nina could come clean about knowing exactly what Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen) is doing to Drew.
Perhaps Nina could insist she’ll do anything for her daughter and lie that she’ll be the one to keep giving Brennan his doses, even if it means her “lover” will suffer.
In reality, Nina and Brennan could scheme against Cullum and Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) behind closed doors.
Brennan and Nina’s fake romance could lead to a real one depending on what GH writers have in mind.
