General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) is facing a difficult decision that’s brought some inner turmoil.
When Justine opened up to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in GH’s May 19 episode, he had some good advice.
Justine won’t be able to ignore Curtis Ashford’s (Donnell Turner) case when it lands on her desk, but she’s struggling with the thought of prosecuting him when Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) is already going through so much.
Curtis is Jordan’s support system right now, so Justine doesn’t like the idea of going after her distraught friend’s boyfriend.
Of course, Sonny spoke for the audience by encouraging Justine to consider what she’d do if this case involved strangers.
After all, Justine’s decision to prosecute shouldn’t be based on whether it’ll upset her yoga buddy!
The truth is that Curtis committed a crime and did some serious damage, so Justine has to look at the facts of this case.
Even Justine herself acknowledged that based on what was in the report and depending on the condition of Isaiah Gannon’s (Sawandi Wilson) hand, this was assault with grievous bodily harm.
Justine said it was her duty to prosecute before once again pointing out that the case wasn’t so simple since she knows Jordan and Curtis.
Even so, Justine ultimately praised Sonny for his guidance and seemed like she was leaning toward prosecuting Curtis in the end.
There are good reasons to think Justine will indeed move ahead with the case, especially since Jordan is so sure she won’t.
Since Jordan told Curtis there’s no way Justine will bring this case forward against him, that statement is perhaps a soapy guarantee that she’ll be wrong!
How can Jordan turn the other way when Isaiah’s hand is full of fractures and his wrist has severed tendons?
Curtis may have just ended Isaiah’s career as a surgeon, so that needs to be taken into account.
Justine will hopefully do the right thing and force Curtis to face the consequences of his actions in court.
ADA Turner seems poised to prosecute and push for Curtis’ punishment, so a prison stint could be in his future.
Curtis may wind up worried he’ll miss out on valuable time with his soon-to-be-born baby if he gets stuck behind bars.
General Hospital spoilers suggest that the news of Justine’s betrayal may provoke Jordan’s fury, so stay tuned.
