General Hospital (GH) recap for Thursday, April 16, reveals that Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) considered whether Lucas Jones (Van Hansis) might be guilty while Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made an intriguing discovery at GH.
At the batting cages, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) tried to surprise Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) with a practice day, but Danny didn’t want to play baseball without Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) around.
However, Dante cracked some jokes and got Danny in better spirits.
Rocco was still mopey after Danny stepped away, but he just acted like it was because he was worried about Danny when Dante quizzed him.
Rocco eventually apologized to Danny for not checking in with him after the last time they talked on the footbridge.
Danny didn’t hold it against Rocco and eventually questioned him about whether Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) had told him anything about what went down on the pier.
Rocco obviously didn’t come clean about being on Pier 55 that night and just pointed out that he hadn’t been in touch with Britt.
At Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) house, Josslyn demanded a conversation with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) since she wanted to question him about Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).
Josslyn acknowledged that Cullum was a double agent and that he was partners with Sidwell.
When Josslyn shared her story of deceiving Cullum at Wyndemere during the blizzard, Valentin was impressed while Carly was alarmed.
Valentin informed Josslyn that Cullum was the WSB’s main authority on Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and suspected Cullum had sabotaged any attempts to bring down Faison’s operation.
Valentin also felt confident that Cullum neutralized Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) when she got too close to the truth.
Although Carly and Valentin tried to get Josslyn to back off for her own safety, Josslyn couldn’t walk away from this.
Carly worried after Josslyn left and told Valentin they should shift their Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) takedown mission to going after Cullum and Sidwell.
Despite Carly’s fears about Josslyn’s life being at risk, Valentin did his best to reassure her.
At Wyndemere, Cassius Faison aka fake Nathan West (Ryan Paevey) showed up to tell Sidwell that he was now the lead detective on Marco Rios’ (Adrian Anchondo) case.
That led to Cassius insisting that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Jason had solid alibis for the time of the stabbing.
Cassius also didn’t believe Sonny sent someone else after Marco and argued that it seemed more like Marco trusted his killer enough to let them get close.
After Cassius brought up Lucas having time unaccounted for that night, Sidwell initially balked at the idea of Lucas taking out the man he loved.
There was also some talk about Marco’s missing phone having incriminating evidence on it and Cassius’ desire to get Britt more of her medication.
After Cassius took off, Sidwell looked pensive as he flashed back to speaking with Lucas and seemed to be questioning Lucas’ innocence thanks to Cassius’ suggestion.
At GH, Britt stopped by Cullum’s room to insist she was a team player now and wanted her medication.
Cullum demanded answers about who really pulled the trigger since he was looking right at Jason when he got shot.
Britt made it clear that she didn’t know about any other shooter, but Cullum planned to keep digging.
Once Lucas interrupted, he got Britt out of there by acting like it was inappropriate for her to be around Cullum when her boyfriend was accused of shooting him.
Afterward, Lucas spoke privately with Britt and warned that she shouldn’t be alone with Cullum since he previously tried to kill her.
Britt also feared for Lucas since Cullum presumably knew about Lucas’ involvement if he had Marco’s phone.
When Lucas suggested he could be the one to take down Cullum and Sidwell, Britt was skeptical about that.
Next, Cassius paid Cullum a visit and offered the latest news on Sidwell, who was pressuring him to find Marco’s killer.
Cassius assumed the culprit was someone Marco knew, but he didn’t have an actual suspect to offer.
Once Cassius pushed Cullum to acquire more medication for Britt, Cullum refused to take demands and insisted Britt would get her meds if she delivered prototype progress.
Cullum also warned that he could blow up Cassius’ life just as easily as he could blow up Britt’s.
Josslyn arrived at the hospital in time to see “Nathan” stomping out of Cullum’s room.
At Brown Dog Bar, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) recorded a video of drunk Ezra Boyle’s (Daniel Cosgrove) tirade and showed him proof of his out-of-control behavior.
Laura decided to take Ezra back to her place so he could sober up, so he complained about being in too deep with Sidwell and worried he was expendable now.
Ezra admitted he knew about the blackmail photos and didn’t want to be another corpse in Laura’s car trunk.
Laura suggested maybe they could work together to get out of their Sidwell mess, but he fell asleep on the sofa while she was getting him coffee.
General Hospital spoilers say Laura may have her work cut out for her when it comes to protecting Ezra, so stay tuned.
