General Hospital (GH) recap for Tuesday, July 28, reveals that Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) caved in after Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) stepped up for Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), but he hinted about the payback that was still on the horizon.
Down by the lake on the Quartermaine property, Giovanni “Gio” Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) admitted that Drew was walking and talking after being pulled from the water.
Drew refused to go GH and wanted to see Willow, so Gio said he drove Drew home.
Brennan and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knew Willow could be in danger, so they took off in a hurry.
At Drew’s place, he announced he was home and scared Willow as he started talking about dreaming of this moment.
Although Drew admitted he’d imagined strangling Willow with his bare hands, he wasn’t going to kill her.
However, Drew felt confident that Willow would wish she were dead by the time he was through.
Drew stopped Willow from using her phone, revealed Nina’s attempted murder and goaded Willow until she nearly used a baseball bat on him.
Just as the confrontation was about to get out of hand, Nina and an armed Brennan barged in.
Drew was looking forward to taking down Brennan, Nina and Willow, but Jack presented the evidence to silence him.
Based on Brennan’s proof, Drew could be exposed for misappropriating funds, paying off the employee at the German clinic and bribing the judge who ended up dead.
Although Drew protested that he didn’t commit that last offense, Brennan didn’t care and didn’t think anyone else would either.
Drew thought a few years in prison would be worth it if it meant taking down his enemies, but Brennan pointed out that he was looking at far longer behind bars based on how the charges stacked up.
In the end, Drew surrendered to Willow’s demand of keeping quiet about everything that happened and granting her an immediate divorce.
Nina also piped up that Drew would have to let Willow keep her political career, so Drew went along with all these conditions.
After Brennan and Nina exited, Willow dropped her ring and called it the sound of freedom when it fell.
Once Drew was alone, he declared that the “treacherous bitch” should enjoy her freedom while it lasts.
Next, Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) arrival interrupted Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) argument with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in her kitchen, so she ran into his arms and welcomed him home.
Sonny and Carly brought Jason up to speed on a few things in Port Charles regarding Jens Sidwell (Carlo Rota), ADA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) and Carly dating Valentin.
Jason also talked about his road trip with Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn) and confirmed to Carly that Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) was the real Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) shooter he was protecting.
At the Quartermaine residence, Scout Quartermaine (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) was on hand as Rocco tried putting the tension with Danny and Charlotte Cassadine (Bluesy Burke) aside.
However, Rocco still dismissed Danny and Charlotte’s plan for a late-night boat adventure since he figured they’d get busted.
Scout decided to stay there with Rocco, so they had a bonding session alone.
By the Metro Court pool, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was still dressed in professional attire when she joined Emma Scorpio-Drake (Braedyn Bruner) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) for drinks, so that led to her confessing she was a WSB agent.
Josslyn explained that she was no longer undercover and got grilled about how much she’d known about Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) breakdown.
Joss assured Emma that she was only asking Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) questions because she was trying to get to the bottom of Cullum’s knowledge of the situation.
Emma didn’t approve of Josslyn’s career path and made that crystal clear. Once Josslyn left the table for a phone call, Gio showed up with shocking Drew-related news for Emma and Trina.
Josslyn watched the others at the table before getting on the phone and asking for a secure line to the WSB office in Berlin.
At Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) house, Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) answered the door to Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett), who reunited with Portia and met his new grandson, Desmond Ashford.
Although Marshall’s loyalties would always be to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), he was willing to get to know Isaiah better and was hopeful about everyone moving forward after Curtis’ trial.
Portia suggested whether that was possible depended on the verdict.
